I really hope I eat my words re: Cody? But how long do we have to wait, Eastwood had goals in him...look how well he did.

Ffs Baker! We get a counter attack, just him and ROD on the attack. Baker tries to run rings around the defender and keeper and blazes it over!

Well its all about perception is'nt it ,but Cody Mac looked fit enough at the start of the season ,scoring at a ratio of 1in 4 from genuine scoring attempts ,Thats abetter ratio than Mcsheff and slimmer than him too.

Mcsheff is 30 and tbh his best days are behind him he's played at the very top in the Premiership this is the best McDonald will do he will coast the rest of this season before being off-loaded somewhere like York City it's not rocket science to see he's not cut out for it

If you honestly think he's had enough games to prove himself fair enough ,I personally don't, like many other players within our squad at the moment i can't see how people can judge when they've barely played a handful of games .He is a resource of this club along with others not fitting in at the moment ,we don'thave the means to mismanage players and waste those resources .Cody Mac is a prime example of a player being mismanaged IMO.

But wingy,if he cant be arsed to get fit who's fault is it? Unless he's fit and we're being lied to?

Who's saying he's unfit ,one poster on this forum ,he was sharp enough in the first 3-4 games of the season under Thorn, admittedly i had him missing a couple i expected him to take ,he's what we've got after Jan ,We need to get him playing and let flourish ,i believe he's capable of doing that .

When was he sharp? Everytime i've seen him play he has been slow, no movement and never hits the ball with enough power...Best goal he has ever scored was against Birmingham in the cup, only moment he has every looked sharp..But then again that was the only time this season the whole team has performed.

Well it's Crawley next. They nicked it against Met Police 2-1 Swindon lost at home to Macclesfield 2-0. Not a great result but better than a fair few other teams today.

Still not clear. I just think he prefers 1 man upfront and Cody probably wouldnt suit that style of play

if thats true, as in the 451, id rather have Mcgoldrick on his own, even if he is a bit greedy. Which is good, as he scores goals

I think its the case as even when he brings in a second striker, we always seem to end up with one dropping back to Midfield.

I agree though that ill take McG as the line striker everytime as he scores 'when he wants'

Yeah Bring it on with a near doubling of the attendance hopefully, and lets see Christie back to his old self bombing up that flank on the overlap.

It was a very sluggish performance. One thing for sure Cody has good movement and instinct and needs game time.

Robins said he needed to get fitter a few weeks ago

http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/co...or-sky-blues-says-mark-robins-92746-31947382/

“Cody is a good player,” said the manager who had the squad training at the Ricoh yesterday to get them more familiar with the stadium. I saw the goals he scored for Gillingham and some of them are outstanding.
“He just ends up in a position where he scores goals but he needs to be fitter, for me, and once we get these games out of the way and get a free week, we can start to do that.
“At the minute we have to use the games as a fitness base because the other days are recovery so with two days a week it is more difficult. But we have to make sure he is in the right physical state and he’ll score goals because he gets in the right areas. So I have watched him and his runs are sensible and good.
