Hi, I am a Preston fan but come in absolute peace!!

I and my son are coming to the game on Saturday and looking forward to our first visit to your ground. I wondered if someone might be kind enough to give some advice on best places to park and if there is an "away fan friendly" pub nearby?

Thanks all, looking forward to a good game!

I'd recommend the casino to any away fan (as long as over 18). Very comfortable and fan friendly. I'd take your lad there if he's over 18. It's opposite the club shop.

As for parking, we've parked on Silverstone Drive (ten mins walk from the Ricoh) for a few years. A new furniture store (Leekes) have been kind enough to open up a new superstore with free parking so we're parking there now without fuss. They're open until 6 on Saturdays so you wouldnt have any problems coming back. As you'll see, the Ricoh is just a few just a short walk south from there.

There's parking at the bottom of burbages lane, think its a rugby club? About £3 I think if you're getting desperate for a space!

pnebybirth I know he's injured, but what do you think of Keith Keane?

funny at the Ricoh, if they think the crowd is below 10k its street parking, above 10k local parking inforcemnet comes into play!
(check website for updates)

there are the official car parks (you may have to reserve these)

there are food and alcohol places inside the ground too, try the Pork & Stuffing batch !!

Enjoy your day :claping hands:

Black horse pub on the B4113 is an away pub isn't it..not sure of its clientele...leaves you about a 1 mile walk to the ground?

Enjoy your day(but not too much);)

Thanks to all of you, very helpful! I'm sure we'll have a good day out and should be a decent game. If PNE get it on the ground, they can play well at this level. But, we have an oddball Manager who, despite clearing out all our older players and introducing his own selections, seems incapable of finding his best team. Chants of "Graham Westley's Super White Army" are very half-heated..... Away results were awful at first, but now we can't get a win at home, but grind out some decent results away! TBH, I think we'd be pretty happy with a draw at your place. We've slipped down the table, largely because we can't score which is ever so slightly important in football! But, catch us on a good day, and we can beat any team in League One....but then it's a poor league and neither us nor you lot should be in it. Financial woes affecting us both.....I think 1-1 on Saturday. Thanks again.

A draw would be good for us given our carp form right now plus an oddball and largely unpopular Manager who can't decide which is his best team, plus a couple of injuries (Laird and Keane in particular). Truth is, neither you nor us should be in this League but I can't see us getting out (well, upwards!) - like you lot, our financials are dire.

With this likely to be McGoldrick's final home game for us we really need three points from this one and to keep the momentum going.

Let us know what you think of the Ricoh. Away fans tend to be very split on it.

Isn't Shrewsbury his last game?

There are a few pubs along that road behind Tesco that offer pretty cheap parking, £3 I think?

Massive game .. need the fans behind players on saturday and not get inpatient with them.. a lot of the top teams playing each other a win could push us very close to the play offs!!
