Gmlk, I am of the opinion that Finch has plenty of time to make himself into a reasonable player.
He's only just turned 20, August I think, so there's plenty of time for him to iron out any inconsistencies in his game. I have to admit though, that there's a lot of disappointing players in that list, & that's putting it mildly.

I hope you're right and I wouldn't fully write him off entirely, but I'm yet to see many if any performances that lead me to think he's got a bright future. As with any Cov kid, or any Cov player in fact, I hope he continues to improve and wish only the best for him

at home vs a lesser team. think it would be good opportunity to introduce gadzhev back in to the picture

I'm going so a loss it is, doing kick for a ticket at half time not confident.

Best of luck with that. Haven't seen anyone win it for ages, although the chap on Saturday came very close.

I think the game before, a young lad did it and his dad took over on the half way line and did it. If I remember anyway.

You could be right - think I've just got a short memory.

At least it's not in front of 30 thousand but still a bit embarrassing if I don't get at least the 30 yard one .

Sorry if this has been pointed out already but, according to Jim Brown, our lowest ever-crowd was 1,086: http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sp.../coventry-city-attracted-lowest-ever-11863977

I wonder if we will beat that tonight...I suspect that the offal attendance will be higher than this even if the actual attendance is lower.

Have you been out to get some boots to stop you slipping?

Advice from my lad is don't take more than a two step run up.

Good luck.

I remember having a go on one of those football games in the arcade, the ball comes out and you have to kick it. Got a run up and was about to absolutely leather it, then realised the bottom was only a bit of felt so ended up flat on my arse and the shot went over.

Luckily I don't think anybody saw so I styled it out and went back to the 2p machines with the other big time Charlie's.

kick the long distance shots to your right(if right footed)

alot of people including me tend to curl the ball when they kick it sidefooted and far.

you want to kick to the right so it curves abck into the goal.

thats why we see so many people miss the target imo. they kcik to centre of goal and it curls away. aim for post or jsut wide and you will be ok

good luck

Ask if you can change the ball for Fishers face and tell them to stick the ticket.

Got to be a game for the fringe IMO:

RCC
DKE Willis Harries Haynes
Maycock Gadzhev Bigi
Thomas McBean Lamerias

Put some first teamers on bench in case. But I really don't mind about the cups while we are where we are.

This could be pretty embarrassing if the total is less than the 2K that went to the youth tie V Arsenal last season.
I am dismayed that the club has not attempted to market this game at all and it's arbitrary signal re opening the one stand, even if it is merely Morecambe.

Shows what people think of the fa cup, the whole replay thing should be scrapped there isn't one for the final which is the biggest game.

Why are people saying play fringe players?

This isn't the tinpot checkatrade thing, it's the FA cup. We want to get as far as possible, play a strong team and progress to the next round.

Ffs. Back to wingbacks, looking at that I'm wondering where the goals are coming from.

Hopefully ghadzev will make some runs into the box, otherwise we'll be hoping for some worldies.

For me Reid and Jones are too similar, they both want the ball deep so they can run with it and neither really makes runs in behind a striker.

We played that away at Wycombe and scored 4, in fact we have played it in most cup games where we have scored way more goals than in the league

I didn't go to Wycombe, but I saw it plenty of times under mowbray and it was crap. We started getting result in the league once we dropped it and went 433. That said, wycome had diferent forwards - mcbean as a target man, and G Thomas who makes runs in behind the strikers, and jones, not 2 out and out wingers. You need the right blend to make the system work

Burge applauding the Morecombe fans, presumably in a way of saying 'fair play'. Only takes the one knobhead to give him the wanker sign. I hope we win even more so now just to piss that one fan off

Burge almost with a clanger

Recovers well, but shouldn't have had to! RCC would never have done that

This is the kind of game I can see us losing. It reeks of defeat.

Let's hope I'm wrong!
