The difference was rose making runs forward creating space and stretching their defence. Before that we got 30 yards out and passed sideways or backwards as our forwards wernt making space or runs

Pleased with the win. I hope this little run can give players confidence to play more. Every buildup is so slow and boring

What a strange close to the Venus interview.......

Geoff mentioned how good it was to hear Harries was to sign a new long term deal tomorrow. Not even sure what Venus's reply was; certainly didn't contain words!

Perhaps CWR have done what the CET done with the kit release th other season and done it without clubs prior consent?

Sordell made a difference as well, Agyei was stood still with his arms in his sleeves.

I said to my son when we bought Rose on that we'll win now.
Bigi and Stevenson were over run in the first half but both worked their socks off. Strange set up and team selection in the first half from Venus which he admitted post match.

That first half was shite but the subs changed things for the better, nice to have a manager that can affect a result by changing it. Second half I thought we were on top without really creating much and Rose has the knack of arriving in the box late and getting a goal, 3 points and on to the next game.

Felt a bit sorry for him tonight. He would have been better on the left hand side as he is very one footed and kept having to bring the ball back onto his left foot every time. Plus they doubled up on him every time.

You seriously need to let your love affair with TM go mate. He did nothing to help with our win tonight. You know he's not been at the club for a few weeks now?!

Had it not been for him, we might've been higher in the table by now.

Awful first half which can be attributed to the change in formation/tactics and players. There was absolutely zero movement from the attacking players to the point I genuinely felt sorry for Bigi/Stevenson who had limited options each time they received it.

Really disappointed with Agyei, his touch was poor and his movement even worse. Tudgay was very poor, which to be fair wouldn't have helped.

Jones is very one dimensional and does not know what a pass is. Reid was just as poor first half, but second half, once he remembered he had pace to run past people, was a good outlet.

The other seven were very solid and performed their duties well. Definitely let down by the attaching four.

The subs changed the game.

Vital win tonight. The issue is the club needs new owners ASAP.

Let's not beat around the bush, until about the 75th minute we were fucking abysmal. Drop that game anywhere on a park pitch across the country and it wouldn't look out of place. Rose and Sordell coming on changed the game and we got a win. They were the only two players who wanted to get beyond the ball.

Bizarre starting 11/formation from Venus but we"ll take it.

Evans didn't look that good at all I don't think.

Didn't hear any boos or anything for him either.

Yeah I think Geoff let the cat out of the bag there, think Venus said something like "hhhmmpphhh don't know about that" and that was the end of the interview.

I said earlier i was concerned when he changed the team but then saw Rose was on the bench with Sordell and could revert to the same team when needed. Was it a deliberate master stroke or was it by chance? Rose is top drawer in this league, a sort of DeBrunye for league 1.
A clean sheet again too. 7 games since MV took it on, 5 wins, 1 draws 1 defeat. Impressive.

Had to go do some uni work at half time, Great result to come back to. Totally called Willis as scorer as well.

When is Stokes back?

What an odd game. First hour was appalling but the substitutions totally changed things for us.

Fair play to Venus for taking the hit after the game and admitting it was his fault for changing things when they hadn't had time to work on it properly.

Nice to hear someone capable of admitting he got it wrong (MV in his post match interview),
there's one or two I can think of who ought to take a leaf out of that proverbial book.
A good & vital 3 pts, well done Sky Blues !!!!

Yes, still 4/10, cos one rating for one match stands for the whole season once the one match rating is made.

Thanks TM for the win last night? Behave!!

Ruben was a signing of his. So was Sordell. So was Jones. And Bigi. And McCann. And Rose.

I'm just being honest. Ruben is average. goes missing in lots of games. he's skillfull though which is good. Sordell has never lived up to his potential and although probably looks our best striker i dont think he was what we needed.

Jones I was very excited about when we saw the first glimpses but looks a bit like Ryan Kent as he has no end product at the moment. Bigi is dog shit. McCann is a 6 month loan and he's been alright but nothing to write home about. Rose is a really athletic player who works bloody hard and pops up with the odd goal so he's actually alright. Will never set the world on fire though.

Then you've got last January which i wont even bother going into. Gadzhev also looks crap. Turnball looks crap.

Bigi is shit. Got man of the match in three games. Turnball is crap obviously in a defence that looks pretty solid and isnt leaking goals. Just wondering whether you actually go to games or is it just another pathetic dig a tm

The first half was a right load of shit and I'm counting Page's accidental cross as a shot on target just to say I saw one in the first half, but it got better and I'd take the result first over anything else. Best unbeaten home run in my lifetime now, which surprised me.

nearly all the team was signed by him silly.

its not a tm specific thing. If coleman had got us promoted i would have thanked dowie too. a little pices of the jigsaw required.

obv MV deserves a bigger share of the credit. from now on i will do MV in caps and tm in lowercase.

Thanks for your feedback

Bit unfair, I thought the Ball-boy catching the ball was the highlight of the first half, worthy of at least 3 replays on Sky Player

Fair enough.

Didn't see you thanking SP though when TM kept us up season before last....
