His comments were senseless. He acknowledged it was a yellow card but the ref wasn’t aware he’d already been booked so therefore should not have given it

Thomas was trying to get the ball onto his favourite foot and looked unbalanced. This lad is a real trier and we all love him to bits but over the last few weeks he has missed chance after chance after chance. If his failings in front of goal were mirrored by Burge at the other end then Burge would have already been dropped long ago.
