Watching that Back we can safely say that Burge's wonder saves were 1 straight at him and 2 not a save at all, cleared off the line because he missed the ball.

It was obvious at the time that it was cleared off the line.

That said by the low standards Burge has set himself this season he did alright today.

Much like the Southend game.
He is frustrating as fuck, at times there are flashes of a really good player and in certain situations he reminds me a lot of Boateng, grit, determination and getting stuck in, there is obviously a good player there just got to bring it out of him and cut the mistakes down to the minimum.

His passing 1st half was abysmal under no apparent pressure its just a lack of concentration, I have no doubt he cares but unless he cuts out those stupid mistakes he will always be a lower league player

The odd stray pass? How many successful ones did he make?

Many, but the good work he does seems to go unnoticed.

There was a passage of play today, early in the 2nd half I think, when he was outstanding. He broke up play, there was a vital tackle, he was neat and tidy with the ball, played a couple of good forward passes into feet and covered a huge amount of grass. He was also constantly giving instructions and encouraging his team mates to play a higher line. Exactly the sort of thing a manager would want from a player in that role. All of it probably missed by most watching, but they didn't miss the stray pass a few minutes later judging by the collective groan and the shit terrace punditry that followed.

He didn't start the game well, but 2nd half he was excellent and covered a enormous amount of ground. Parts of his game he needs to improve on sure, but I do feel a lot of the work he does is underappreciated.

I thought Bigi was very, very hit and miss. It wasn't just the odd stray pass unfortunately, it was 5 or 6.

Reilly was guilty of it too, as was Thomas and Reid.

One our most error riddled performances for a while despite all the plus points of fight and endeavour etc.

Bigi would be a 5 out of 10 for me and no way a MOTM. Just don't get that thinking at all.

I thought Clarke played well, as did Willis, and Rawson again was magnificent. Beavon worked really hard too. All those would be ahead of Bigi for MOTM.

Reilly was very disappointing. Made Bigi look amazing

At last you finally admit it!!!
I knew no genuine Cov fan could have such bollox opinions such as yours.
So just why is a Bristol City fan stalking our website preaching pro SISU rubbish?

Rawson when he could / should have conceded a pen, but other than that I think he and Clarke were bang on

I didn't get why Eakin says that one off the line was a save by Burge. When it happened it was pretty clear that Bigi cleared the ball. Mind. The CWR desk was on the blindside for the incident.

Or was it one of Bigis misplaced passes

Bigi had a good game today imo. Not a MOTM performance sure, there were a number ahead of him, but I am sure people can look beyond the odd stray pass when assessing his performance? He sees a lot of the ball, so of course he will give it away from time to time. This isn't bloody Barcelona. His work rate today was outstanding I thought, and I believe we are a better side with him in it. If you look at the games we have won in the league this season he has started most of them. I think he may have missed only one (but could be wrong). Just wonder when people will give the lad a break.
I think you're right, when he plays we have much more possession, the opposition can't score when they don't have the ball.

That bit where he kept possesion by rollijg back on the ball in different directions got a nice cheer from crowd.

Just needs to stamp out thensilly mistakes. I have no problems with high risk balls being stamped out. But only ehen they are warranted in the first place.

I don't mind him playing the more difficult balls and them not coming off, it's the the simple passes when he gives the ball away that annoy me.

Sometimes it is a really simple pass and he totally fluffs it.

He's a terrible footballer as evidenced by the fact after four years with a premier club he's now struggling to hold a place in the club that's bottom of league one.

Players careers define their ability - not opinions.

Just noticed he made the pass to lameries which led to goal

In ice hockey he gets an assist for that!

Grendel is right about bigi. He shouldn't be struggling to hold a starting place for us. He should be heads and shoulders above the others in midfield and he's not.

Love his back story and still want him to succeed.

He seems to get a pasting because hes not a prem midfielder. Thats not his faukt he was highly rated

He is 1 of our best midfirlders currently. So if robins keeps picking him and he keeps playing well its all good

Great atmosphere, good all around performance, a neutral would of been hard pushed to id the team pushing for promotion, a happy 3 points.
Shame its too little too late.

Actually looking forward to Wembley with a lot more hope now than a couple of weeks ago.

This - I thought our fans were great today (suspect it's a combination of no tension, as we've all 'accepted' relegation, and still have a pre-Wembley glow) and that was the most upbeat/enjoyable atmosphere at a league game at the Ricoh for a long time. Gives us hope of a performance next week, and a little more hope about getting organised for next season.

Helps when there is a decent away following. 100 fans half a mile away is not the best way to generate an atmosphere. God knows what it will be like in league 2.

Yes. Tuesdays at home if we're not doing/playing well will be a bit of a test of endurance, especially if there's only that type of away following creating little fractious banter.

Hoisted on your own petard. By this logic, your opinion on the matter doesn't count....and Bigi's career isn't over (until he signs for Coventry United):woot:

Now you are using 'farce' incorrectly. Another trip to the dictionary is in order.
And there's no such word as 'nope'.
