Anybody else going to consider going down? Might pop down if it is a nice day on a Saturday, I think they have a bar there so can stand and watch some lower league football with a beer (I think).

Hopefully there will be some good shouts (jockey him, up hill first half, play against the wind) etc.

No replacement for City, but might be something different for a Saturday afternoon!

Why don't you watch Sphinx? More established club, good clubhouse etc.

Don't know, just don't like Sphinx. I think I saw them once or some of their players out and they were swaggering round like they were Ronaldo and Messi.

No, not me Nick.

Hard enough affording to go and see the City, can't justify petrol for the round trip plus whatever else it would cost.

Would only consider going to support another team IF City were liquidated and ceased to be.

Woking Town FC for me . It's Woking has been my home for 14 years now and have been following them on and off for 10 years.

At least I know my money will go to the club instead of a greedy hedge fund company and also they are a properly run club.

Can't stomach watching CCFC under the ownership of SISI and Co and playing outside of the city anymore. Hell NO!! are they getting my hard earned dosh.

I am the same, have been following Rochdale as a casual observer since I moved north and they are a well run club far more deserving of my cash.

Thing is now though I have left Manchester and moved out to the peak district so even going to the Dale is a long and expensive round trip.

My closest teams now are Glossop North End, in the lower echelons of non-league but have ambition and are making a push towards the conference if they can. Nice family friendly club with a decent enough ground considering their position and only minutes from my house. Or I could go and watch Stalybridge Celtic who i think are in Conference North so a reasonable standard.

Since leaving Cov I have generally made it to about 5 home games and 15-ish away games a season. I will not now be giving SISU another penny so no home games, wherever they may be and I seriously doubt I will be going to as many away games either, probably only the relatively local ones to me like Sheffield, Oldham etc.

Though watching the teams local to me would not be the same as following cov and wont replace them at least i might enjoy it.

Agree.

Think they've missed a trick here and alienated City fans right from the off.

its a good idea but they've done it all wrong. Seems to me like its just a toy for business men, the badge looks a tad like its a local EDL football team, and the names a bit crap too, maybe they should get in touch with the sky blue trust and get fan involvement, at least if it was linked in someway to the trust we'd have a coventry city (kinda) linked team to watch for the next 3 or so years

If we were the throw our support behind another team cant understand why its not Cov Sphinx. Wont bother with this Coventry Utd rubbish.

Bedworth Utd for me, few Cov away games only
