Now we support a brand and not a football club.

The new chairman knows nothing about our players.

What does the whole "brand" thing mean?

Bit disappointed that we're only a brand.

Went on a group conference a few years back where the key message was that brand was old hat and that the business had to aspire to be a "lovemark".

Personally I thought it all made absolute sense and was well worth the cost of flying 100 people half way around the world.........

So we win the FA Cup once and we are a 'brand'? We are nothing more than a decent football club struggling outside the 'branded' premier league.

Manchester Utd are a brand, notice how the 'Football Club' disappeared off their badge some years ago. The only thing that really matters is that the club improves.

This guy Brody certainly has an impressive CV, maybe he'll talk a lot of what sounds like sh*t from a football perspective but if they concentrate on what they can actually do and don't interfere (sell players with every offer) then we'll have half a chance, because what happens on the pitch dictates how well we can be sold as a 'brand'. They don't sound like football people at all, so I won't hold my breath on them not interfering with the playing side.

Every club has to be a brand, it's 2011. Football doesn't exist merely on the pitch, so any ventures that are aimed towards the betterment of what happens on the pitch is alright by me, even if it's drowned in marketing yap yap.

"I'm not a one trick pony, I'm a whole field of horses", We couldn't have someone whose brand is bigger than the club's

I don't want to be branded - couldn't I just wear a scarf or something ?
