Exactly.

Quite astonishing the shape this club is in that we are having to fund this and not Northampton Town.

We've got our own problems, looks like the chairman has made a right mess of the redevelopment. The east stand (the one you don't use) is not going to be ready for the new season. In fact there are rumours it wont be ready until October at the earliest. If you've got any potential big away followings who normally overspill into that stand coming between August and October (Peterborough maybe?) you could be losing out on the gate money as the capacity will be restricted. Wonder if Cardoza will be dropping the rent amount as a result?

Good point. I think our owners believe for us to be promoted we need a pitch that suits our style of play. Where as Northampton probably don't really care. 500 season tickets sold. Fuck sake. Crying shame.

The CRYING SHAME is that they have sold any season tickets.

Doesn't really matter ,they were going to shepherd all Into the West Stand anyway ,sure we'll just flog our next up and coming Starlet to cover the Ransom to the Hostage taker.

Presumably this is all due to the mule-like stubbornness of Joy. There is nothing to be gained for Sisu in delaying a return to the Ricoh, and a lot to be lost. They will never succeed in distressing ACL - end of story. She just cannot admit she was wrong. Fisher, Labovich and all other shareholders must know this and it's now time for them all to grow a pair and confront her with reality.

Could potentially have away fans in the north and south stands behind the goals then with the city fans in the west then.

That game on sky in August is going to be a great advert for the English game isnt it. Coventry city playing a home fixture in Northampton against The bluebirds of cardiff in their red shirts in a near empty stadium in front of a demolished stand!

This is why fans should run and own clubs like in Germany.

You want to give the spoilt little bastard a few harsh words then. I remember when i went into Joe Davis Sports in bedworth as a youngun' and told my dad i liked those chelsea sweatbands, there was hell to pay.

Some kids need telling a few straight facts, you support your local team. I was in Greece last year and a bloody 8 year old Man City fan was laughing at me for supporting CCFC. The little runt came from Stevenage, didn't know whether to chuck the little bleeder in the pool or break a pint glass on his father's head.

SO we are back there for another year... bollocks. To be fair to Waggott and his position he needs to ensure that SP has the best chance of doing well in the league with the limited resources he has, he clearly has a passing philosophy so we need to get the pitch right (okay Northampton's lumpers will fuck it up equally!). Not sure what involvement Waggott has in other club related activities but i dont think he has much say in the Ricoh dispute.

Gutted we are there for another season and clearly we need to let these fuckers know that but if this expenditure helps the team on the field then i am all for it.

If we had a local team you'd have a point. You'd have to be stupid to get into watching Coventry as a kid at the moment.

I cannot stick this Waggott bloke and all he stands for, imo he is worse than Fisher, the typical run with the hare, hunt with the hounds merchant. He is laughed about at the club and beyond, agents think he's a joke but this joke has ripped the club apart. Our academy to start with, been quiet productive well that has been changed, Rioch left and others and replaced by inferior people I have been told the academy production line is finished, the best prospects are being snapped up by the likes of Villa, Leicester, Blues and Albion. I have a grandson there and been told as soon as one of those show an interest, which they have, move him. The debacle and damage at our club goes a lot deeper than the first team and Sixfields

Other than being highly disrepectful, how are you judging them on your 'Inferiority' scale?

Fisher apparently said he isn't ruling out a return though a deal hasn't been done yet...then Waggot comes out with this and reckons we will still be playing at Sixfields??

For the benefit of the paying customers, and those thinking of getting a ST, they need to stop sending mixed messages. They need to tell us where the stumbling block is for a Ricoh return. Presumably they have had some kind of dialogue, accompanying the blub the put out to the general public last week...so why all of a sudden are we worrying about the Sixfield pitch?

They can put the blame on ACL if they wish, but at least tell us what ACL are demanding that they can't give.

To add to confusion, when we get rumours like this...
My next door neighbours lad is in the CCFC academy (13s). He went to the Nuneaton friendly with his lad and a certain first teamers dad(won't mention names) and he said a rent deal has been agreed, was due to be signed privately and revealed on or after 7th August. Believe me or not but its fairly reliable.
...the person who came out with this (ie. the first teamers dad) either need to be 100% certain or keep the fuck quiet. This isn't a pop at the guy who posted it up, just the bloke who reckoned he knew what was going on.

Sorry to hear your Grandson will have to move on, but once Rioch moved on that was one of the final nails in the coffin, he could see it coming but like all the staff there they are not allowed to speak up even after they have left.

You are only as good as the trainers you have?

The kids have no ambition to play for Cov any more.

What a load of rubbish! Ruperts comments stem from something 'he's been told'. Whilst I'm not saying he's not been told that and the source might be reliable, there will always be kids who will want to play for Coventry. It doesn't help the first team playing at Sixfields but aren't the kids teams still playing at the Higgs Centre?

My input which was initially for the CT site...their comments function is down again!

Ah so that's where the Wilson money has gone...the sh!tfields pitch!! At least we know now.

Walrus Waggot is living in dreamland as is Tim Fishcake if they think that we have a cat in Hell's chance of gaining promotion. This interview is cringeworthingly hilarious!

He appears content with the 500 sheep who have bought season tickets by stating 'it's where we thought we would be at this stage (it would be ten fold if you made the correct decision and returned home from both a business and moral perspective), positivity stemming from 'starting on zero' as if it's normal to start on -10 or anything less, and 'hopeful of a lot of activity in the next couple of weeks'.

Funny that in May he hoped to have everyone in by the time pre season started. What does this man do all day?! He has had since January to find a replacement and there are in excess of 500 players on the PFA free transfer list at present.

SCROTIUM OUT!

£3m could build you a new stand on a small stadium. Some money will be going on the pitch (which I think is wrong....shouldn't Northampton have factored that in when saying yes to us?) but not all the money will be going on the pitch. We need to pay wages somehow....

I think that SISU and some of our supporters could be in for a reality check.

Season tickets have been on sale for a couple of months. Most of those that are going to buy one would have as early as they could because of the giveaway as SISU called prizes. And they say that they expected the sales to be about so at this stage?

Are they expecting another 30% of last seasons total to buy in the next week so we have the same amount again? Does anyone think so?

So we should sell players so we can pay the wages of players?

Is that what SISU meant when they said that they would cover the costs of being in Northampton?

Football clubs have outgoings like players wages. To be able to do this they try to maximise the income. All clubs have to pay players wages. It isn't just a SISU thing. The big difference is that SISU have minimised our income on purpose and keep up with it for what looks like no reason. And not only are they happy with minimumising the income but they add expenses on purpose that are much more than the income of what our club brings in.

P.S. I know that minimumising isn't a proper word. But it explains it very well. Just like SISU are not proper owners.

The football club is a franchise of SISU. Sorry if that annoys one or two people but it's surely now undeniable.

Looks like Diss Town and more eastern counties football for me this season.
Home cooked food ,cheap good quality beer at pitchside ,and most importantly all the clubs treat you as a much valued customer.

Fuck both ACL and SISU , you will both end up with nothing and you will both deserve it.

Minimising is the players that they have brought into our club. Mini as most of them are short and mising as they haven't spent any of the approx 4m received this year so far.

Yeah I thought about that when I wrote it but it is the English league cup and its the English football league and FA who allow clubs to be at mercy of Cardoza, Sepalla, Tan, Oyston etc. You wonder how they can allow the game to carry on like it does until its pointed out that the the likes of Oyston are on the football league board!

Speaking of Welsh football, the ones I envy are the Swansea fans, wasn't that long ago they were playing us in division three, now they're a sensibly run club playing in a decent stadium in the prem, recent league cup win, partly owned by a fans trust, the rest owned by millionaire fans. You'll be ok though, Joy said in her interview with Les Reid that she wanted to emulate the Swansea city model!!

If you mean justificaton of improving the pitch, to make it better for our players, then I can see his arguement if it means we win more games....however, if he wants to have a better pitch, there's one in Coventry we could use.
