I've seen it written in several reports
That Coventry's good at minority sports
The speedway, the Hockey
There's no team we can't beat
So why does our football players have 2 left feet.
It never used to be this way
We all remember the 16th of May
In 95 we spanked Rovers 5 nil
And years before that we had the great Jimmy Hill
Gone are the days in which we felt pride
Today we're just weeping at our lamentable slide
Gone is the cash, gone is the glory
The fall of sky blue is a sad sad story.
For Coventry City, a new dawn must come
It's a passion for me but just a hobby to some.
I yearn for the days when we had footballing clout
But they won't come again 'til we've got SISU OUT!
