I berate Italia as he gets a direct financial benefit for wasps matches and that is the reason for his slavish support. If he had acknowledged this at the start this would have been at least seen for what it was. There was of course also his slavish support for Sisu when oddly they were the only car park revenue in town. His angst at them leaving one could suggest is mainly due to financial impact.

Your last sentence is intriguing. So, if condone is an understatement what is your real opinion of supporters who attended Sixfields?

Didn't you go out of your way to play down the financial benefit to the local economy to the point of saying it would have no benefit what so ever? Seems you just backtracked.

Acknowledged what and to who? The car parking police! WTF has it got to do with you anyway? Despite what you seem to think no one put you in charge. Fair play to Italia, on this I don't blame him. People are coming anyway so he may as well make a few quid of the back of this. Doesn't mean he has to go himself, as I've already said several times that just condones their move. I suspect if I'd have left it there you'd be giving me likes a plenty and agreeing but because I see the parallel with attending Sixfields you have to spout nonsense instead.

His "slavish support" as you call it is just to wind up hypocritical numpties like yourself up who need him so you can play the victim. He's providing you with a service. It wouldn't surprise me if you also use his car park.

I've stated my opinion several times. The same principles that stopped me going to Sixfields stop me going to watch wasps. Unlike yourself this isn't a new found principle for me, my position hasn't changed. The fact that the attendees didn't say jack while they were there I find unfathomable. They hide behind the line I went to support my team. Does that mean that they couldn't speak up for their club before games, during halftime or after games? As I say, beyond condone.

By beyond condone then do you mean support, approve? What?

And you against the ones who didn't.
So where is the difference.
You said you would never go and you went, yet you have a go at Italia for changing his mind.......
Your nothing but a hypocrite.

I guess this means you're going to stop berating Italia for attending Wasps games then? No, I didn't think so.

There's a big difference between supporting your club at it's home ground and supporting an unnecessary (from the clubs point of view) move to Northampton by attending. It was worse than that. With the exception of 1 lady on 1 occasion as far as I know not one person attending protested about it while they were there. Condone is an understatement.

How would you know there were no protests? I seem to remember Torch putting up posters inside the ground.

Sorry yes he did on one occasion, you're right. Fair play to Torch for that. That was two protests then by two individuals on two separate occasions the entire time we were there. WOW! How were we not back after the first game with all those voices of discontent?

By the way what happened to the posters that Torch put up? I seem to remember the story was that someone else attending the game followed him around and promptly ripped them down and put them in the bin they were so desperate to see us return home. IIRC that's why he only did it the once.

I put them up and I went for a wee a bit later in the game and they'd been taken down.

NOPM played it's part, problem was that not everyone did it and went. It would have been a major embarresment for all involved in the move if no one turned up, the FL would have shat their pants from a PR perspective and SISU would have shat their pants from a financial perspective. We'd have been back for Xmas.

Can't talk for everyone on the hill but personally i wouldn't have gone at all if no one was in the ground, there wouldnt have been a need.

Sure I said it at the time but fair play. Did someone ever confess to taking them down?

No, probably stewards or something. Maybe even Fisher himself. He used to use the public loos along with his security guards.

It's a shame there wasn't the same nopm attitude towards the franchise in Coventry. I muse confess I'm surprised the CET didn't adopt this stance considering the key role they played in getting the club back in Coventry. :S

The Wasps deal must have been known so I would say Sisu had no choice but to bring us back. IMHO

....or maybe it was the council's way of protecting themselves and not making themselves look like they had lied about caring about the football club.
