BREAKING: @coventrycc head of finance John Mutton says the reason for Godiva Festival overspend of £460k was mainly down to the council taking on two headline acts from the Ricoh Arena after they failed to sell enough tickets at the venue.
He says “those kind of acts cost the Earth”.
No explanation as to why the council apparently decided to bail out the private business owned by @WaspsRugby.
