Wish we’d have scored a few more as some payback for all the twattings we’ve had from them over the years.

Much the better side once more. The quality of football can be exquisite at times. Never quite relaxed due to past defensive demeanours but by fuck our local pub IN Leicestershire tonight was dominated by Sky Blues and I’m loving that !🩵🩵

His distribution was excellent.

And he kept a clean sheet.

Good enough for me.

I really want Simms to do well. If his confidence is high he’ll get a few goals. But it’s undisputable that his touch, passing and all round awareness is poor. We forgive it, and at Championship level for £3m it’s about what you get. But let’s not pretend he’s Regis.

No, but seriously, Collins’ distribution is miles and miles better than Wilson’s, and makes a huge difference in allowing us to play out the back with a back four. Happy he’s put a few solid games together.

Chuffed to bits for him. Clean sheet a big boost.
The take from the cross at the end was everything you want from a keeper too. Takes pressure right off.

However - he didn't have a shot to save.

Same on Monday.

We can't restrict every team to 1 or so shots on target in the next few games.

Ay some point he will come under pressure - he needs to be a proper goalkeeper, not just one that distributes well when this happens.

Dominant performance and we’re playing excellent football and finding that form at the exact right time.

Genuinely delighted for the boo boys too:

JDS - excellent game, the majority of our attack came down our left and he was involved every time. Did well against Fellows, who it seems wasn’t licking his lips in the end.

Collins - claimed a cross well, did the gamemanship stuff and was excellent on the ball - his distribution set us up for numerous attacks. Confidence is building, and like him or not, that’s important

Simms - stats might not help, but if you can’t see the difference his presence makes up front then perhaps go back to watching football when everyone played 4-4-2.

Great day all round - let’s hope for non complacency on Monday!

Just settling down - thanks mate.
Nerves and subsequently the bog were shredded in the morning.....
Bit of an anti -climax as it was fairly comfortable!

Mind you, the meltdown on the group chat, and the Mrs here has been monumental!

I'm being quite magnanimous and it is winding her up even more!!

A morning reminder that we’ve all but mathematically ruled them out wouldn’t hurt.

I suppose before this week many would have taken/expected a point here today and 3 points versus Hull last Mon. So in the end it all amounts to the same thing. Hope Bristol C and Boro slip up at some point and we get 5th place.

Tough fixtures for Bristol on the road next week, very tough final day fixture for Boro also.

No matter what some people say the Hull performance was good. Todays performance against WBA was good. The main difference was we won 1 drew the other.

I'm expecting similar performances in the next 3 games. If luck goes our way or not will have a big say on the results. But the good news is we need less luck than others. Middlesbrough got it today with their late penalty. 2 wins from our last 3 games should be enough especially if one is against Middlesbrough. 2 wins 1 draw guarantees the playoffs.

Anyone still shitting themselves?

I’ll be shitting myself until it’s mathematically impossible for us not to make it. Next three games are all teams scrapping for their lives or in direct competition. Long way to go yet.

No I don’t. I just he he’s embarrassingly off the level and bringing in others who you don’t think are great is just a deflection. I want us to bring in at least one striker in the summer ideally, that’s a whole conversation. But right now I’m just annoyed someone is getting minutes and we paid millions for them when they seem so poor. And saying they’re young is irrelevant. We’ve seen young players before. Even the ones now playing in the National League looked better at this level than Bassette does.

You're obsession with Bassette seems slightly unhinged, particularly on a day we should surely should be celebrating the positives.

I think if anything he is trying too hard, and that the 5 minute cameos he's getting aren't doing him any favours to that end. His performances against Sheffield United and Spurs earlier in the season suggest there is a player there somewhere, and not the dud you're convinced he is.

How refreshing is it to have a big game, lots of pressure before hand, big crowd and just be so comfortable.

Wasn't too long ago any sign of a decent crowd and we'd fall apart.

I think that might have something to do with our new manager.

He now has a hat trick of winning against teams we can never seem to beat, Preston, Swansea and WBA,
All-in-one season.

We honestly made this game look easy, if you were a WBA fan you’d be fuming how outclassed they were by a team 3 points below them.

Possibly the most comfortable game I’ve seen us won this season. We could’ve won by 3 or 4 goals if we really went for it.

Grimes was such an important pickup in Jan. Now especially with Torp out. I also think Grimes makes Sheaf better and they complement each other well.

Good, confident game all around.

For those who may be interested, I find these predicted final table results interesting. If you scroll to bottom it gives predicted scores for the last 3 games. Losing to both Plymouth and Luton but still beating Boro to finish 6th? A little funny if it plays out like that...

Every player that’s come in has stepped up, and rudoni‘s a different level,, knew he was good but the times he had the ball in the corner and surrounded but came out with the ball absolute class
