There are plenty of permitations we need a win and a draw next two games and a draw in the final game will be enough against the Boro'. That's assuming Boro' win their next two, which is likely.

Likely wasn't 2 of the 3 chasing pack losing today and the only side to win doing it because of the worst penalty decision of the whole season in the whole of the football league.

If anything the Middlesbrough player should be out for at least 3 games. There's no way there was any contact. That decision was an absolute disgrace.

Don't forget the genius idea that we shouldn't spend any money in January because Lampard needs to prove himself first

Simms did well today I felt.

Glad Collins got clean sheet. His kicking is really v good at times. However still doesn't fill me with confidence in terms of commanding area or rushing out to sweep

He's not gonna win us the playoffs like perhaps dovin could have but hopefully he can give us a fighting chance

Simms was really poor against a team that offered nothing

Rudoni looks like a completely different player from the start of the season - a pretty obvious player of the season at the moment.

Do you think? Thought he put himself about well. Won headers or made life difficult for the defender.

He's playing more like I want him too at the very least. hopefully grab a goal soon and catch fire at an important part of the season

He's played 51 minutes since 18th January. I'm not sure how much you can judge from that.

Yep, people were saying he was a poor signing. Probably the same people slagging off young players playing a handful of minutes I'd imagine.

This. People berating Bassette (who wasn’t good either), are the same saying “Simms was good”. He wasn’t.

Proper big day out mentality from them today from day out.

Shame they didn't make a peep in the stadium bowl.

He worked hard today, but his quality was just off. He only had 15 touches in 77 mins, no shots and gave the ball away with half his touches.
4 misplaced passes
3x unsuccessful touch
1x dispossessed.

Given how rarely we’ve seen any striker play well up front with this formation, I have to wonder if the system makes that position a bit of a thankless job. We’re certainly not short on goals in the side.

He did work hard. I’ll give him that.

I thought he was good against Hull; obviously I realise he didn’t do well for that chance he hit over the bar (I know the keeper saved it but it was going over).

It’s a fair comment. I think there are defo people rightly questioning Simms ability to control the ball and do other basics right. But you might be right in that the system doesn’t help a centre forward in that style.

He clearly opens the game up for others around him, but is that enough when you consider his return and what we paid for him?

Ah. So you're ready to reply to why our performance was a disgrace against Hull even though we drew with their GK getting MOTM?

How about replying to you having a go at our chances against a side that had only won once in their last 19 away games even though you have ignored the @Grendel bit.

Players have a part to play. It's a squad game. The game was over by the time the subs came on. Subs are not there to find a new boo boy.

Given the circumstances, to not concede a shot on target all game is a testament to how comfortable that was. We are a very good side.

In the last two games the team has played better football than it has in weeks

We have the best 3 midfielders in the squad together and wide players who create a lot of opportunities- it’s not a thankless task for a striker

He just doesn’t look up to it and we need to change him in the summer

How refreshing is it to have a big game, lots of pressure before hand, big crowd and just be so comfortable.

Wasn't too long ago any sign of a decent crowd and we'd fall apart.

Simms keeps the centre halves busy which creates space for the midfield player to capitalise on.

I think Simms had a good game. Better than Bassette. He needs some serious work but will come good.

He’s another who has come on. Start of the season he couldn’t win a header to save his life, must have won every one today.

How about answering the question?

You had a go at many saying Hull game was a debacle. Now you call it a good performance.

Which one was it?
