Massive, massive game.

Need big players to turn up today; Wright was quiet on Monday and golden boy Grimes really needs to dominate games more.

The whole stadium, from fans to players, is going to be nervous. Big test mentally for the players, first ‘event’ of the game is important, let’s hope it’s a confidence booster for us.

Game for Wright today. Big game player, if I were a betting man I’d put it on him to score.

I think that the two key players today could be Saka and Wright. Rudoni is pretty much a given, but those two haven't quite shown what they are capable of in the last couple of game.s

Agree about Wright, needs to step up. Thought grimes was excellent against hull, hopefully more of the same today

Are we going to be playing our high line again, against Adam Armstrong? Hopefully MVE can cover us if so

Me too!
And just got back from a family breakfast with the in-laws (Albion fans for those unaware!)
Nerves all over the shop.
In our house, this feels as big (I actually feel worse!) than Luton/Man Utd.
The in laws are unbearable when WBA win and we lose!

To be honest I had zero nerves for the Man Utd game as it was a free hit

It is outside the club shop. You’ll see the barriers and can’t miss it

I think a must not lose is a much worse position to be in mentally than a must win. It allows the players to drop into a negative defensive mindset.

It’s a must with for West Brom so they will be at us all game.

Luckily Lampard seems like an excellent man manager so will hopefully have them all in the right headspace. Wish he could have a word with me too cos I’m bricking it.
So you think it's worse mentally to be the side with the 3 point gap in their favour?

Can you imagine not wanting to be the player that makes the mistake that ends the season for their club? Add to that having to go to a club with an excellent recent home form when you haven't won away since last November and have only won 1 away game out of your last 19.

I know which side I'd prefer to be playing for.

Out of interest, is today the first time we have played a home game on a Good Friday?

We should have won the game very easily. Even after they scored a poor goal we missed chances.

You mean their GK was MOTM?

If you were being honest you would say we had good chances even after they scored but their GK was excellent. Did you watch the highlights of the game? Nearly all of it was him making saves. If that was a debacle what words would you use for a game which is a debacle?

I think looking back the saves for one of Wrights shots and MVE’s shot in the last few mins were really good. The quick 1-2 with Rudoni for that MVE shot at the end could have done a few keepers, but his positioning was excellent so was able to tip a relatively powerful shot around the post.

Why? We might be winning and not needed to change a thing

Subs need to be made when needed and not by a certain minute for no reason

Sure the run has been good , but we're in an indifferent spell currently 7 points from the last 6 games

But away from that , hes often late with subs and particularly against hull made the incorrect subs

Toss the form book out of the window, today is about who handles the pressure best.

We lose today and we're out the playoffs and out of form too .. so yes form matters at this point to a degree

Been a tough run of fixtures imo. Not sure what could have done other than Allen for sheaf at hull and I'm not sure it cost us the equaliser

See how it goes today though. Less options on bench due to injuries but still some players who can make a difference on there

Hopefully only subs today are for rotation because we are winning comfortably!

Well we've also played hull away - drew and derby away and lost , we lose today thats going to be 4 losses in 7 and out of form with 3 games to go .. I simply stated he has to utilise use subs better , which would help prevent shitty results at hull etc

Yeah ali understand that and I'm simply staying I haven't seen his subs as an issue and don't put dip in form down to it

Different opinions that's all
