Players that would probably deserve to get dropped in a perfect world:

Burge
Sterling
Davies
Mason
Hiwula
Bayliss
Enobakhare
Bakayoko

Changes that will actually be made?

Burge - would be better with a cardboard cut out
Sterling - grimmer should come in
Davies - should be given time, obviously not match sharp
Mason - give McCallum another game
Hiwula - still on a decent scoring run so keep him in
Bayliss - will have to play in Bright’s roll
Enobakhare - suspended, Meyler
Bakayoko - no real options apart from him

I like mason but feels he’s too small for left back tbh.

looking at the replay he slipped and did the splits and the Burton fell over his trailing leg, but the response was disgraceful from their players demanding a card. Small time shit club no class (but beaten us twice this year)

Burge needs to be escorted from the premises and given a life ban, even cc4l could have cleared that ball better.

A game we need to win. After a dismal game against Burton where we were out faught & tacticaly poor, I'm expecting a good reaction.
Fleetwood will have seen what Burton did and will copy that approach, getting into our faces and not letting us play. We therefore need a change in the way we play aagainst Fleetwood.
Myler to strenghen the middle and keep possession and play high up.

Difficult but expecting a better performance and a win.

Drop
Burge
Sterling
Mason
Bright suspended
Bakayoko but there’s no replacements except Bremang (why not?)
Also if Chaplin is fit he should come back into the team

This is where Robins weird subs and our inability to put games to bed hurt us. Players can sit on the bench for months and not get game time as we never have the luxury of chucking players on in the last 20-30 just for match sharpness. Brown and Grimmer who all arguably could start on Tuesday haven't played for months while Davies looked extremely rusty. Meyler and Wakefield who came in 2 months ago have barely completed 180 minutes between them. Westbrooke who started a couple of games has disappeared out of the match squad entirely (is he injured?!)

We've only scored twice in 8 of our 36 league matches. Awful record.

I think I'd be tempted to say to the team from yesterday "Get out there and put that last performance right. If not, next game you're dropped."

Burge would ordinarily be dropped but with LOB (who isn't any better) injured bringing Addai in for me isn't an option. I do worry the crowd will immediately be on his back the second he makes even the smallest error.

CB, assuming Hyam and Willis are out, will likely be Davies and Grimmer. Fleetwood are managed by Joey Barton and have a poor disciplinary record so expect it to be physical and dirty. I'd usually say it's the sort of thing Davies should revel in but he looked surprisingly susceptible.

Bright suspended so Meyler in to CM and Bayliss up to ACM to add a bit of physical presence and backbone too.

Having said all that about matching the physicality I do think when we have the ball we should carry on trying to play good football as it's more likely to be successful.

Some tables to show the change of performance over the season based upon results.

1.) IMG_3504.PNG 2.) IMG_3505.PNG 3.) IMG_3500.PNG

1. End of the first half of the season.
2. End of the January transfer window.
3. Current performance table based on results.

Disgraceful from their number 23 who screamed at the referee on every occasion. We could have done with Stuart Pearce to smash him into the stand.

need someone with a spud gun down the training ground to injury Burge, the poor sod wouldnt get hit with the spud, he would be trying to run out the way and go straight into the post

I didn’t go on Friday but Mason must have been appalling if people are thinking of leaving him out for McCallum this lad is way short of the quality required for league football at this stage, Brown is streets ahead of the rest and has a bit of nastiness in his play.

I expect Fleetwood to be like their manager.

If that's the case we will get bullied, nobody with anything about them.

Our only sending off so far was from slipping over.

We don’t miss Doyle for his playing ability but we miss his helping of the ref etc

Id think about Addai starting Tuesday. I’d also rather an outfield player was the designated substitute goalkeeper on the bench than have Burge anywhere near the first team. Guys an utter mess.

Got to give Burge a bit of space and get off his back a bit quite obvious Addai isn’t seen as good enough and O’Brien still injured we have nobody else.

-------------Burge-------------
Sterling--Willis--Davies--Mason
--------Meyler--Kelly(c)-------
-Thomas---Bayliss---Hiwula-
-----------Bakayoko----------

I can understand the temptation for a few to change a few names but let’s not forget that this young side has demonstrated the ability to go on a run of games unbeaten.

With Lee Burge we have to see him out till the end of the season if O’Brien isn’t anywhere near a start as Addai from what I’ve seen I don’t see as being as good as Burge when he’s having games like against Burton unfortunately. Best thing would be another emergency loan should Burge be called into MR office having his fingers accidentally trapped in a door.... with Stockdale sat making MR a brew.

With BE coming out through suspension I can see Bayliss going behind Baka and Meyler coming into midfield.

I would drop Mason also, as despite what sponsors thought was a man of the match performance on Friday, he was shambolic. Willis also struggled towards the end on Friday night, I hope he recovers in time!

My eleven would be;

-------------Burge-------------
Sterling--Willis--Davies--McCallum
--------Meyler--Kelly(c)-------
-Thomas---Bayliss---Hiwula-
-----------Bakayoko----------

Hopeful for a win, if we play like we are showing in glimpses then it is on the cards, can't allow to give away soft goals such as the two on Friday.

Is Chaplin fit?

Don't think so. Agree with Meyler coming in for physicality - just hope he's fit enough - then pushing Bayliss forward. That said, I still have a hankering to see Thomas playing in that role just ahead of midfield, as on the bobbly pitch I think he'd be a nightmare, hassling their back four and if he nicks it from their central defenders, which is likely on that pitch, we could have them in trouble.
