Two up front definitely seems to be the way forward doesn’t it. The only time I remember one up front working for us was the incredible few months when we had Armstrong up top on his own in a 4-2-3-1 with Mowbray, before it all went downhill.

since then I can’t remember having 1 up top working for us.

just having another presence in the box changes the whole dynamic of how the opposition have to defend.
It has to be the way forward regardless of the formation behind the front 2.

I like both 4231 and 433 as formations but I don’t think our midfield and wide forwards can make it work for whatever reason. I’d like to see 352/532 given a go for a while.

Same.
Those formations tend to work at higher levels or if you have standout midfield and wide forwards at the level. It's okay having one person up front if you've got the likes of hazard or sane or salah terrorising defenders but not so much if your have Jobello and Hiwula. Just my view of course.

McGoldrick is another example of when one up front worked since relegation from championship. Basically need a striker who is clearly above the level we are playing.

They’re really playing on this “little old Accrington” thing, aren’t they! To be fair, I don’t think we’ll take them lightly.

Coventry welcome Accrington to their adopted home of St. Andrew’s on Saturday afternoon, as they look to go four games unbeaten. Stanley will be hoping to bounce back after consecutive league defeats left them sat just two points above the drop-zone.

15 games into the new campaign and it’s safe to say that Coventry are ticking along nicely, despite being without a home of their own. Mark Robins’ men currently sit in 6th position having won six, drawn seven and losing just two. At times, they’ve struggled to get their heads in front, but the Sky Blues are very tough to get the better of, especially at their adopted home, where they’ve won six, drawn six and lost one.

In fact, Coventry have League 1’s second-best home record, claiming an average of 2.38 points. They’ve not been overly aggressive in terms of end-product, scoring 12 in eight, but they’ve been consistent, failing to score just once at their temporary home, while they’ve also done a very good job of creating more than their opponents. Coventry have kept a clean sheet in three out of eight at home and have conceded more than a single goal just once at St. Andrew’s.

While Coventry have done well at home, Accrington have struggled to get going on their travels. John Coleman’s men have won just one out of eight away from the comforts of home. They’ve lost four of the other seven.

Accrington’s struggles away from home stem from a lack of goals. Saturday’s visitors have found the net in three of their eight games and are averaging a measly 0.88 goals for on the road. At the other end, they’ve surrendered an average of 1.88 and have kept just one clean sheet, conceding two or more in five out of eight.

Quite frankly, the fact that Accrington have struggled to find the net away from home doesn’t exactly bode well against a Coventry side that gives little away at home. Only two teams have surrendered less shots on target at home than Coventry, who’ve given up an average of just 2.25 shots on target at St. Andrew’s.

In the betting, ‘Coventry to Win & Under 3.5 Goals’ makes plenty of appeal. Despite not always blowing teams away, the Sky Blues have tended to offer more going forward than their opponents at this venue, while they also look very solid, so much so that they look a decent price to gain a routine win against a visiting side that is averaging just 0.75 points away from home.

No great surpise. Still very light attacking wise on the bench considering we've got three centre midfielders. Would've thought Bremang would've been in ahead of Eccles.
