Now Willis has gone we HAVE to bring in another defender don't we and it has to be one who is eligible to play in this competition.

The CT seem to be suggesting that Harries may well go today too.

For the semi-final that would then leave us with Clarke out, Foley out, Rawson out, Willis out and Harries out.

Unless Stokes gets fit it means we have just one centre back for the game, Turnbull and that's it. Just one CB.

We simply cannot go into this game in such a position, it would be ludicrous.

I know Slade said he was done with defence recruitment, but surely the goalposts will now have moved. We therefore need another CB and he must be eligible to play in the EFL Trophy.

Unless Stokes IS back. He was a notable absence from the U23's again yesterday though. Hardly building up match fitness if he is free from injury.

As we look all but doomed this game is massive for us in terms of a bit of excitement, some much needed coffers into the club and a great day out at Wembley.

If we don't bring anyone in today for the centre of defence I will be absolutely gobsmacked and astonished.

Harries to be loaned back to us I heard, so all is not lost. But SISU/Fisher don't give a dam about any cup final.

Okay. Not heard that. That would be a sensible move.

We simply cannot go into a game with only one centre back.

Jack Finch came on for Stokes in the last home Checkatrade match. He actually played well for the half he was on. However that was against a very young side. Jack Finch v Akinfenwa?

Did he play well?

He started off okay, but then played the most suicidal pass to one of their players when he was only 5 or 6 yards away and not a City player near him. That's the side of his game that concerns me, his care of the ball.

He is very slight too. Really not CB material I would say, but I guess he is an option from the bench.

That's the trouble with all our players, no meat on the bone. Granted a lot are still kids so will fill out naturally, but even likes of Turnbull really are weaklings compared to other side's players.

Perhaps our players are just weak mentally more than anything. I don't think you can be a real bull under the insipid leadership of Fisher.

Still don't get how any pro footballer can be such a pussy.

1. They are athletes, their job is to train and to be fit and strong.
2. They are pro sportsmen, it doesnt matter if they are playing tiddlywinks, FIFA on the ps4 or a friendly they should want to win.

None of this "taking part is what counts" crap, it should be about winning.

That is the real x factor Nick. It is what stopped the likes of Jack Charlton and Tony Adams just being third tier footballers and being Internationals instead. Plenty of athletes, plenty of skill out there.....it is the mental strength that sets them apart.

Need to sort themselves out. None of this pussy footing about.

Turnbull for example, you are a pro athlete, your job is to be fit. Why on earth do you fall over with the wind? Get in the gym
Defenders, why on earth can't you put your fucking foot through the ball and have it away when we need to. Rather than up in the air, put it out the ground. Toe pod it if needed.
Midfielders, if somebody kicks you either get in the refs face to tell him or their face telling them they are a prick. Don't just sit about on the floor like a bitch.

We need a nasty twat to come and teach them to be nasty a bit more.

How do you turn it off? I keep unclicking the button, but sometimes I forget.

Is it as difficult as posting Gifs?

Well looks like we won't have to worry about Bradford. Oxford beating them 2-0 at the moment.
