Rushworth will do very well for us... glad this has happened a week before the real deal.

From Rushworths highlights I noticed he leaves it pretty late to kick it and was doing several cruyff turns under pressure from strikers. Think he needs to learn to get it out quicker because the rest of his game looks good

Maybe this is a good thing and Rushworth gets it out of his system.

Just wish Dovin didn’t get injured. He was really coming into his own last season.

Not overly emotional just proves the gibbons who moan about our other keepers have nowhere to go sometimes

But collins was practically spilling the ball into his own net , consistently

Wilson is just wilson , very average.

Whatever position we end up in on the pitch, the ball some how still manages to end up with the CBs and starting again.

On about 30 mins we played out and broke the lines well, ball to Torp with BTA and EMC running forward and Torp passed it straight back and before you know it, it was back with the GK again

My point is how much shite our other keepers get, they're all quiet about this mistake though just because it's pre season. Watch how our fans are against Hull now

He's boiling my piss today. Him and Sheaf together is not the one. Midfield is shocking so far. Just nothing.

Pre season game or not this is slow, ponderous & lacks intensity. Can only hope this is the calm before the storm.

Think Grimes is a wonderful player yet dislike him playing so deep, at times even got him & Sheaf on halfway line next to Thomas/Kitch. Take Rudi out this team and we look average, again let’s hope it’s precursor to season.

KKH had the ball kicked at his ankle and that somehow injured him.

The worry is that those innocuous looking injuries often turn out to be bad ones.

He was exactly the opposite of this against Betis! I actually commented on it at the time that he was instrumental in helping trigger momentum. Not sure why he's acting differently this game.

Doesn’t matter what level you’ve played at, friendlies are just that, they’ll be in game mode next week, told ya MVE wasn’t going anywhere weeks ago

I always say to take friendlies for what they are but based on the two games so far, I’m concerned come the league, well still have the ‘concede soft goal’ thing in us and we still play tippy tappy possession football with very little intent. Hope I’m wrong come the league games.

Unpopular view this, but I would much rather Sheaf goes before end of window than MVE. Surprised to be typing this, as a couple of years ago he was one of the best defensive midfielders in the division. I just see our midfield being very pedestrian indeed with him and Grimes. Feel we are crying out for more energy in midfield, someone who is quicker on the ball.

He did it 3 times and passed it straight to them twice more
I agree though he won’t keep doing it
The press from them is pretty good

Good Lord. If you were any good with the ball at your feet, you'd be a fucking outfield player and earning twice the money. Focus on keeping goal and getting rid quickly, eh, and leave the football to the footballers.

This is Pep’s fault. Made the game copy his mentality of ‘keeper needs to act like an outfield player’. Now all keepers think they’re Pirlo

Not necessarily just energy, just someone who doesn’t care about pass completion stats and is willing to take a few risks in the final third.

I think Grimes is great, but we need the right person alongside him and with Sheaf it’s just a little too possession obsessed and negative.

EDIT - I also think Sheaf is good. But just Grimes is better at that particular job. I think they are interchangeable for sure. But not compatible.
