On another note, thats 7 out of 8 games now that we’ve not managed to score more than 1 goal despite a plethora of attacking players/options , why do we think that is ?

Despite legitimate concerns over last nights pricing it was excellent value for those of us who went.

really?

last night Brighton played wolves. 3-2 thriller and the crowd played £15 for the game and that was a sell out

I enjoyed last night but value for money? first half was a bore fest

Wilso made too brilliant saves, surely hes got to be in the mix for this weekend. I actually thought his distribution was good, longer balls but often reached his man. The running that our midfield did all game was outstanding and measured - we put them under a lot of pressure. Rudoni must have covered some ground. Wright needs to understand when cutting in from the left hes rarely going to score from such narrow angles...he doesnt need to beat the same player time and time again. We had a lot of corners and cross a lot, but rarely convert from them - that needs a lot of work (yes yes Watford). But other than the last 10 minutes we were outstanding form 1-11. You could not pick an outlier form anyone on the pitch, i hope this gives us the confidence to play like that every week - if we do we'll go places.

Clean sheets seem a rarity these days. Some silly mistakes and we get punished but we seem unable to reap the reward of similar mistakes from other teams aka, we are not ruthless enough

We generally don't have a controlled pass and move game which puts strikers in good positions with a little more time. (Like our goal last night!) Strikers tend to have scrappy half chances.
It's where Bassette, BTA and Rudoni showed promise and Wright and especially Simms look like isolated individuals.

It was a cracking atmosphere last night. So glad I went. Definitely felt I got value for money. The whole team was immense. so proud of them all. We could and should have won. The key difference is that the quality of their subs made a match winning difference for them.

Poor decision making for the most part, mixed with (or caused by) a lack of composure.

Really chuffed to bits with that performance last night, gutting way for it to end but Spurs had elite level international athletes to come off the bench - Kulusevski and Maddison changed the game for them - If we carry that into the League there won’t be many better sides than us

My only gripe is hooking Eccles and Rudoni at the same time, I get you have to keep your players fit as the League is the bread and butter but why? They were playing out their skin, certainly the best I’ve seen Eccles play in a City shirt

Bassette has surely played himself into contention this weekend as well

We do seem to be making a real habit of becoming the unlucky losers in games like this and it’s so frustrating

Sick of the pats on the back and the patronising ‘you should be proud’ shouts from other fans

Great performance I thought. Need to be better in front of goal but can see it all coming together at last. Need to carry it onto Swansea now.

Confused about the aftermath. Some of you have been putting Spurs on a top 6 pedestal for weeks but couldn’t handle the idea that they ultimately, expectedly, outgunned us. And outplayed us for the most part. I really don’t get it.

Honestly would rather go out in 90 mins than lose on pens. And we would lose with Wilson in goal and our best pen takers off the pitch.

Sure it's been mentioned but can't be arsed to look through the thread; chanting "he's one of our own" to James Maddison was embarrassing. I get clapping him, I did that, but chanting his name during a game we're trying to win is frankly unbelievable, though not surprising from some of our fans.

Sorry I wouldn't even clap him, the celebrating and fist pumping he did when their first goal went in did it for me, then he pulls on a Cov top and punches the badge as he goes round the ground, it's not as if he only left a year or two ago, he's moved clubs since he left so let's leave him in the past

Onto to the match, I am so proud of everyone who played for Cov tonight, it shows we are not quite there yet, but on another day taking chances could have put us two or three up. I just hope this isn't a 'we can turn it on against the premiership teams' scenario, and hopefully we can carry it into Saturday and score more than one for a change

Find it very odd people seem so desperate to drop dovin who's made already many excellent stops , it's almost like some people can't get blackburn away our their head

I think it's different to that, there's no doubt his performance probably begs the question, but he's not the answer when we've invested in Dovin and will build him up to be a success?

Personally I expected Dovin to be more dominating in the six yard area adter all the hype. He’s a good shot stopper and a good footballer but I can’t say I’m impressed with the amount of times he parries and punches rather than catching the ball. Time will tell !

Were always gonna struggle to play out from the back last night, and almost caught out several times. Dovin isn’t the master with his feet as people like to make out, but he’s better at finding a pass than Wilson. Would like to see how many touches Foster had that were straight from Wilson.

Once Son Maddison and Johnson were on their quality started to show more and more in the final third and we tired more and more. Coming into that game was always going to be harder for our subs. Sometimes you’ve got to accept your opponent can bring on a couple of hundred million worth of talent and you can’t.

Disagree Sheaf doesn’t play that stupid pass and the game goes to Penalties as a minimum then who knows
