Same team apart from Tats.
Make subs early to negate tired legs.

another win would be delicious

Another good performance and win on Saturday, could take us as high as 11th, and 4 points off the top 6.

Would definitely play Simms if possible, we'll need his goals this season, and he need to build confidence.

Absolutely mental take, something works quite well so you think they should immediately change it just in case Simms decides to bother his arse. He's got to earn his starting spot.

Like how the team was changed v Swansea after Tottenham?

How do you earn a spot without playing.

not changing the team and being shite against Swansea will mean he is likely to change it to the xi he thinks is best to play against Wednesday

It's a bit of a post Spurs game deja vu.
Last time we did the obvious, picked the same team and we were poor, and Robins said he shouldn't have. (Mind you one more days rest).
The important thing is the players must get into the habit of working hard as a team, with a good team press, tackling back, aggression.
We have to do it most games. Not as a one off after a poor performance.
Simms doesn't fit that model. Torp will likely have to play more minutes I hope he can up his game.

The Swansea unchanged lineup was bizzare, because he rested several key players for the Spurs game, and the likes of Jamie Allen, Thomas-Asante and Bassette hadn't played much. To then thrown them in again 3 days later and not start Haji, Simms, Sakamoto etc was suicide. Jamie Allen is out for 6 weeks because of that

A professional player plays 2 games in 3 days and it's Robins fault he's out for 6 weeks apparently.
Weird.

Putting in a shift when/in A) Training B) When he comes on. He’s got to earn the chance to start by making a strong case when he gets the chance. That’s exactly what BTA did last night.

To be honest, they are completely different forwards and they offer different benefits. Robins should be able to utilise both depending on who we're playing. That shouldn't necessarily mean BTA starts against Wednesday, I'm sure the coaching team will be studying how they set-up this season.

I would have thought that the sports science imput would have indicated that Jamie Allen was fine to play again. I’m sure Robins would have been given the all clear to start all of those players again. Perhaps shows that even science isn’t an exact science.

We saw how effective bta is in his natural position last night constantly running at the defence and quit rightly many had him as mom so why would you put him back out wide where he hasn't been effective just to accommodate another player who is off form.
stick with the same team and build confidence with another win. Stop all this chopping and changing trying to accommodate everyone

Don't worry too much, I'm not picking the team. I'm just saying what I would like to see.

Yeah, just last night was dissapointing as nowhere near 24K actually there. Loads of Season Ticket holders didn't turn up in both the Family stand and the East stand. The first time in a long while the East Stand has had so many empty seats in the middle.

Really looking forward to this. BTA off the mark in the championship, Wright back to himself, Sheaf back on it, EMC best game for us so far. Confident we will back it up.

When put into the context of how small the town is they are actually well supported. Their stadium is ridiculously oversized for them though.

Wouldn't read too much into the Spurs / Swansea line up issue.

That Spurs game was a day later where they had 70% possession and are significantly harder to play than Blackburn.

Wednesday looked poor tonight. They get one less day to recover. You would think we can get all 3 points.

I think I'd out Simms in for Tats and move BTA to the right. EMC was ok last night but I think Simms needs time and will start to click soon. Get BTA running at the defence again. They will be defensive so we need to stretch them

Right, am I the only person who thought EMC was very good last night?

And BTA was quality too. No reason for either to be dropped or moved (with the understanding EMC came on due to injury)

Wednesday looked a bit better in the second half when they brought Matt Smith on but Bristol City should’ve probably been a couple up by half time. 2-0 City - EMC and Sheaf

The Blackburn result will be insignificant if we don’t follow it up with at least a point. 3 preferably.

Wednesday will park the bus and play deep so wouldn't be surprised too see BTA out wide as no space for him to run into through the middle. Other than that I'd go pretty much with the same team with Simms replacing Tats.
