Would take a 1-0, but hope it’s a comfortable win by a couple of clear goals. Godden will start for sure, but not sure who will partner him. Simms needs to get off the mark and Wright looks more of a threat off the bench I think. If MVE is not available, maybe move Eccles to RWB and the new guy YA to midfield (but he’ll likely get a cameo off the bench and think Palmer might start). Otherwise, same team as last week.

Load of their lot on twitter have written off this weekend as they have injuries and ‘never win here’

I hate it when opposition fans come in convinced they’re gonna get beat

Has to be Wright and Godden to start. They have a good understanding already. Bring on Simms for the last 10 minutes.....depending on how the game goes. 0-0 after 60 minutes of bombarding them then maybe Wright and Simms on together.

Sunderland still don't have a fit striker to play. They have been without one since Simms got recalled. But they still have a few decent players. Can't see anything but us being on full attack and them hitting us on the break. We need to be ready for this.

We would say exactly the same as them if we were in their position. No striker for the game and they still lose against us even when they score 4 goals

think the line up pretty much sorts itself already with the exception of who plays up top.

Personally would give Simms the start with Wright to come on, but think MR will go for the opposite.

Not sure Ayari will be ready just yet

How many people were alive to remember Maggie Thatcher?

Sunderland’s trips to Coventry have been a frustration 40 years in the making

Trips to Coventry City have been fraught with disappointment and frustration for Sunderland - and a win on Saturday would border on historic!

They played Dack up front last week which seems a bit desperate

Think they're signing a striker from Ukraine league but doesn't sound like it'll be done before saturday

Bin strikes, miners strikes.....just about everyone was on strike

And for a bit of reality their last win at our place was before we won the FA Cup

I'm in France and our Leicester game was audio only. Set my VPN for Italy and was able to watch the game although it wasn't as stable as usual.

Sky don't have agreements in all countries. If you're somewhere they don't have an agreement it seems so far you can still watch on ifollow.

It depends on the local channel for EFL games rather than Sky. In Italy it’s DAZN and it’s not on there, so it’s on iFollow.
I always find it surreal watching us with Italian commentary, it feels like we’re in the Champions League.

I wouldn't want to go back to the Britain before Thatcher, ask yourself why she won by a landslide. The country was fucked under Callaghan.
The issue with Thatcher was that she hung on way too long, and should of been kicked out long before she was.

They all hang on too long and yes the 3 day week etc was well before Maggie. Someone I know worked in Insurance and they had a deal where if inflation went over a certain amount they got a pay rise, he got one every month for a year. Funny what you think was normal.

He's actually a nice lad in real life (fwiw).

Anyway, I don't think we'll roll them over as easily as some thing. Bellingham already looks like a class little player. I'd happily take a 1-0 win.

I used to work with a guy who used to go mental with rage anytime someone mentioned Thatcher.

Until I reminded him that he only managed to buy his own home under her "right to buy" policy.
He's retired now and quite comfortable financially as he no longer has rent to pay.

Yes she preached it was good to look after number one and f*** the rest. Her right to buy scheme also deprived us of the social housing stock.
And look what that’s done for homelessness.
A real saint was Maggie.

I don't doubt that. Trying to make a name for yourself by setting out to intentionally hurt your peers is shitty any way you look at it though.

It hasn't deprived us of stock at all, that's utter nonsense, where do you think the people who live in those houses would be now if they hadn't bought them? Yea, that's right, living in those same houses but paying rent!!!!
If any thing, the demand dropped at exactly the same rate as the stock dropped.

Maybe you should ask Tony Blair and every subsequent PM from all parties, why new houses weren't being built at the same rate that demand went up.

Is this due to Wright's "pass" to Godden for his goal last week?

They have a decent understanding already. Even the OG from the ball off Godden was going to Wright in space for an open goal. If the defender hadn't managed to get in the way it would have been a goal and assist.

The last two games have given them 3 goals and 1 assist on top of the OG. And Wright was only on for 25 minutes for one of them games.
