Lampard shouldn't need to motivate them. A full house, top team and the chance to consolidate our position in the playoffs should be motivation enough.

It’s one day a week you’ve got to turn up for your job I don’t get why it’s ever an issue tbh.

A very tough game and we’d need a top performance to get any points. I can’t see a temptation for a 5 with conceding goals recently. Personally I’d stick with 4 switching Bidwell for Binks on Lb. Dasilva against Robert’s would be carnage. I’d rather not see our defence sitting so high and would prefer to play similar to how Derby did to us. Deep and tight defensively with Bassette starting as a runner to keep them on their toes. Wright and Simms are not going to be closing much down together.

Sunderland will be looking at our game thinking it will be a very tough game also. On our side is home advantage.

We’ve slipped on the banana skin and we’re no longer burdened by sustaining a fantastic run. So I think we’ll make tweaks and win against Sunderland. They really weren’t all that against us back in November.

I'm quietly confident of getting something from this game. They won't be coming to park the bus so we will get chances to score.

It's £37. Sales are close to last week, they've just open the extra bits earlier. I'm pretty sure they didn't open Block 4 until Friday?

They didn't open block 4 last week because of the TV cameras. Think it may struggle to sell out this time. Should of kept it at £30 especially with 2 games in a week

Strangely I fancy us to get something from this. More likely a draw but hoping for a jammy late winner. I have a nervous sixth sense that the Derby game would have a bad outcome so let's home I'm right on this one too.

Sounds like Eccles is carrying an injury so may be rested anyway.

But I would rather have Grimes and Eccles, with Allen going box to box.

I feel like Grimes, Allen and Torp would be too lightweight and get overrun.

Would prefer players with height running into their box as it's a weakness of theirs.

Grimes and Torp 100%. Saka and EMC tearing them a new one on the wings and putting balls into the box.

Maybe sicknote Sheaf will fancy a game. We could do with him helping out here tbh.

I hope sicknote Mason Clark can play a full 90. Don’t need Sheaf we have the best midfielder in the league to replace him.

Two home games in a week. And we just lost to a bottom three side.

When Grimes gave the ball away the other night he ran back like a man possessed to get it back.
That was impressive. But wow he was playing deep. Too deep possibly.

I think he was playing deep as Derby seemed to be bypassing the midfield so he would have been wasted there

Fancy Boro to win and if Bristol C beat Norwich then that’s us 8th. This’ll be the season Sunderland beat us I think.

Wonder if it’s gonna flip the other way round - Lampard broke the curses against PNE and Swansea, but will lose to Sunderland

Sunderland are vulnerable and are struggling for form at the moment with the injuries they have.

It’ll take a lot of good performances but feel we could continue our form against them.

Love a bit of positivity. Bristols run in is far harder than ours on paper yet you are panicking about potentially dropping a point behind them with 8 games to go and we still have to play Boro

Two options:

1: Frank: The conservative option: Stay 4-3-3 as he prefers: JDS and EMC come in while Bidders and Wright drop out. Frank clearly prefers Eccles to Allen

2: Gibbo: Stop leaking stupid goals: 5-3-2: Binks in for Wright, shifting one person from attack to defence. I'd play Allen rather than Eccles to add some more grit. JDS for Bidders. But sadly it will never happen. Bound to be Option 1 above

Tuesday was an accident waiting to happen, we came up against a decent defence and couldn't get the goals to compensate for our poor defending

Need Ellis on O’Nien and win fouls and free kicks, he needs to get more physical with defenders and use his strength

We normally bounce back well from a defeat. I wouldn't be changing back to 3-5-2, especially at home. Maybe look at it for the Sheff U or Burnley games. I think Allen deserves a start (for Eccles) and Dasilva in for Bidwell, EMC for Wright.

He just blows hot and cold, some days he is all over the defenders, running them ragged and drawing fouls, next day they could just carry him in their pocket. We need the first version on Saturday

I have no idea what to predict on this one, past we will win, draw or lose.

It's a massive game.

Think going into the international break with us outside the top 6, could be a real killer for us.

Has to be a no defeat game and a hope others don't make ground on us.

O'Nien is the weak link in that side, but Isidor I think is the most clinical striker in the league and we're back to giving away soft goals. Expecting a pretty hefty defeat

If you can’t stomach the possibility or prediction of loss, I highly recommend you keep clear of the Sheff Utd match thread.

‘Panicking’ is laughable. Why so over sensitive?
