Leeds wobble incoming?

If Burnley and Sheffield United clinch the auto's, the play offs will be mental.

Would love to beat Sunderland in the semis and Leeds at Wembley.

Sunderland have a young team. If they don’t manage it this year, but keep the likes of Mundle, Mayenda, Rigg and Bellingham as well as their manager, they could be a force next year with some astute signings.

They are lacking squad depth and quality experience and I think with some of their injuries have taken a toll - particularly the loss of Ballard and the short lived “championships best player” Le Fee!

Problem is if they don’t make it this year, the fans will wants a complete overhaul of the playing squad, manager and staff again. One day they’ll learn! If Jack Ross was still managing them they’d probably have gone up by now

Were all the turnstiles closed today or just the bit where I go in? Instead of the turnstiles they were letting everyone in the disabled entrance and had one old chap with a hand held machine scanning tickets.

They will have their better players picked off in the summer it’s how they invest the money they get.

Rigg and Bellingham are class. They’ll both be in the premier league next season.

Oh is that their resident Cov fan on there? Tbf we don’t have a resident Mackem. I’d quite like one, sort of in the same way I’d like a pet rat but I’m concerned about all the diseases they can carry.

Would be their loss certainly, but maybe Prem teams would be better placed looking at Jamie Allen instead

Well well, WTF, how good was all that ! Superb to a man, all been said before probably but what a complete performance. Fantastic throughout, never in doubt, just a few interceptions short of a cricket score. I love Cov City on days like this 🩵🩵

Find opposition fans on other message boards a bit weird to be honest.

Magic performance today. Wright playing CF was top level. Simms still absolutely in the frame as its genuinely exciting to have EMC, Haji and Simms to rotate. Saka is on fire at the mo.

Allen and Da Silva a revelation tofay with MVE also great.

Ultimately Sunderland are cruising to the playoffs. But can't be easy to try and generate momentum without the jeopardy the teams above and below them have.

I reckon they went into that Derby match prepared to lose and save it all for today.
Also dovin had one shaky moment where he look like he had that through Ball covered and then backed off luckily it didn't come to anything.

Da Silva has been underrated in his last few appearances. I wouldn’t want him playing against a PNE type team but against Sheff U and Burnley, he helps with keeping possession and even used his body well in defence.

Bidwell was shite against Oxford and Derby despite him being first choice in my eyes.

Granted I didn’t see today but he is a better footballer than he is a defender. In previous games I’ve watched him and Grimes seem to be able to play off each other well.

Rudoni prefers him to bidwell too I think

And yeah I agree bidwell is a better defender. But in modern game some managers prioritise other skill sets too for their defender roles

Both have a part to play for us in different games

He's played representative football up to under -21 level and over 200 championship games but the internet managers on here class him as a league 1 player . Whoppers

Not much to add that hasn’t been said; we were incredible today. Best we’ve played for a long time.

We were on it from the first moment and relentless after that. Other than one that Isidor hit miles wide (and was possibly offside for) I don’t remember being worried.

Everyone played well, but Allen was another level, he was everywhere and it allowed others to play. It’s not a coincidence Torp was so good.

Like everyone I was doubtful of Wright playing 9 after Derby but he more than proved us all wrong!

I actually think their CBs trying to wind him up, completely went the opposite way to how they planned as it motivated him even more,

If we get them in the playoffs, we’ll have the mental advantage. And their CB’s will be absolutely shit scared of Wright before we’ve even kicked off.
