Yeah. Feel the same

Would be happy with a draw. Very hard ask to win 7 games in a row and a point is another point towards promotion. Would also keep us unbeaten too.

I am going for 1-1, because I can see we could easily lose this one.

FL will know we aren't going to win every game and may well slip up in the run in.

A win would be absolutely brilliant.

I do think it will be an entertaining game, whatever the score.

You predicted 1- 1 against Preston - how many more 1- 1 have you got lined ?

I think we just have a right to be now really. There's 9 games left now and its clear we've been the outstanding team in the league. Especially on our own turf we will rightly be favourites for every game.

I did. I did feel that if we scored first we would win the game though and said that.

I also predicted a victory against Middlesbrough

We don't need 3 points, they'd be nice but we have got ourselves in a position where we can not win against so teams and these are one of the better teams we play.

It will be a different game to Wednesday, expect saints to have a lot more of the ball which suits us anyway. They haven’t beaten any of the top 10 away. I’m very confident.

Get the job done ASAP. Win the next 3 and it pretty much would be. Waiting until it becomes do or die is a recipe for disaster.

I think a draw, not a bad result against an inform team. Could easily see us blow them away though. We're bang in form ourselves.

I think the way Southampton approach this one depends on how Wrexham get on tonight. If Wrexham win, Southampton will have to target 3 points and I think that will suit us. I think this will be a very entertaining game none the less.

Sunderland did a brilliant bit of business selling him, good player but has a very concerning injury record. It is similar to us and Sheaf really.

They are certainly in form but look at who they have been playing.

All their opponents in the last 5 games have been in the bottom third of the table

I know you can only play what's in front of you but they're not exactly dominating and have still managed to drop points against Portsmouth and West Brom.

who said anything about waiting until it becomes do or die? No one has said that, being able to not win a game against Southampton and still be comfortable in the table is not "waiting until it becomes do or die".

Eccles and Wright will probably come back in, otherwise same team than Weds. I'd be tempted to try Torp or Esse at at No10 though, and if Saka is rested, play BTA Wide right

It has the potential to go in that direction. Draw or lose tomorrow, followed by a defeat at Swansea and the doubts can start to creep in.

I fully believe that will not happen.

No it does not, there is no way on this planet anyone can link not beating Southampton with waiting "until it's do or die".

Even more so given it's impossible for all of Boro, Ipswich and Millwall to get maximum points for the rest of the season.

Going to be a tough game, they will not come for a draw. We all know that you can lose to almost anyone in this league so you certainly can to a form team like Southampton.

We must expect to be under pressure for part of the game and just have to learn to live with it, Rushworth to the rescue on more than one occasion. We should win, but I would take a draw.

I suspect he'll go with Wright and Eccles for Simms and BTA. I thought Simms earned the chance to keep his place and prefer BTA's hustle and bustle around the box myself. I'd go back to Lati at the back as the defence was not exactly tested on Wednesday night. Think Frank will too.

Singers Corner was a bit quiet on Wednesday. Not surprising really as there was a distinct lack of dramatic tension, particularly in the second half. No excuse this time

on paper southampton have a decent chance (as all parachute teams do). however this will be their 4th away match on the spin and they lost a very influential player in Scienza midweek.
having said that at the start of the season i would have loved us to get a player like tom fellows (14 assists last season for WBA) and whilst not being great for southampton so far will likely be starting for the injured Scienza. if he somehow finds last seasons form he will be more than a handfull.
i hope they are a little tired after the games against fulham and WBA whilst being more predicatable in how they play due to the injury to the creative Scienza. they do have the parachute squad though so should be able to weather these 3 games weeks quite well, even if all the games have been away.
if they have do the energy and the belief they will sense an oppotunity being able to play more expansive football against a team that like to play on the front foot as opposed to a team sitting in deep. they will certainly pose much more of an attacking threat than preston.
i also wonder whether there could be scores to settle on both sides after how the game finished at st. marys... even in the press box if Gurney goes full Hulk mode again!!

WBA nearly beat them the other day and they got injuries to Scienza etc.

Pressure is on them to go all out to try and get into the play offs. Suits us fine.

I’ve been looking at our next five games:

Southampton H
Swansea A
Derby H
Hull A
Sheffield Wednesday H

I reckon that, even on a conservative basis, we should pick up at least eight points, especially as three of them are at home. That would put us on 85 points. It’s probably not enough for the title but it’s getting close to what we might need for promotion, with four more games to pick up any extra points that are required.

Surely it’s happening now

Out of our last 9 remaining games we have 3 that are more difficult than the other 6. Two of them are our next 2 games with Southampton H, Swansea A and Wrexham H.

Southampton won't be coming into this game ready to roll over and have their bellies tickled. They are 3 points behind Wrexham in 6th and 9 points with a game in hand behind Hull in 5th. Only a win will keep their Championship playoff chase alive. They haven't lost a game since mid January when Hull were very lucky to get the result. They have just beaten Fulham away to reach the last 8 of the FA cup.

We have enough to win, but I can't see it being anywhere near as easy as many seem to think.
