Got to build on this now. Kitching in. Maybe try him with the armband? I’m serious.

Simms needs game time. Keep him in. EMC and Wright to come back. A couple of tidy additions this month might be all we need to turn this season around and start making progress.

If we get a decent centre half next to Kitching in this window there’s a real partnership to be built

Some can't see how close we are to getting wins and clean sheets on a more regular basis

I can do extremely excited for the coming second half of season personally.

BTA superb

In all seriousness, thought we played ok tonight and pleased with how we dug in.

Impressed with Ellis Simms, Kitching and Allen

Dovin will be a very very good keeper for us provided he continues to play, and also the CBs looking more solid by the game

thought Simms was also excellent, best game I reckon I’ve seen him play for us, and really no complaints from me other than I would’ve left Simms on and taken BTA off at the time, but hey ho….

if we play with that level of desire, aggression and actually skill too, for the remainder of the season, with three or four additions we’ll be pretty set

I wasn’t a fan of Kitch, but he’s looked solid since he’s come back in and also pulled Bobby up a level it looks like

One swallow does not a summer make, and it’s only the third round of the cup, but I’m encouraged

Agreed overall. We were very good for the first hour but, as is often the way, seemed to want to throw it away.

I agree with every word of that. I didn’t think Dovin would get to any penalties as he isn’t the tallest for a keeper, but he did

Binks looks better in the middle of a back 3 as he doesn't have to cover the left back , it actually suits him there tbh and the defence generally had a good game but kitching steals the show

Risk sounding like Lampard here but the squad showed great character tonight. Dug deep to get the win.

I suggested the same in the first half .
Might be the making of him if he is an awkward character , he certainly shows a lot of leadership traits and is a very good player with the ball at his feet

The game ebbed and flowed. We were really good for about half hour either side of half time. When Bannan came on they turned the screw. Extra time bit of a non entity. Pleased we got over the line but unsure why we took Simms off

And as we also stated , kitching displays leadership qualities that we've missed this season.

He gave dovin a proper bollocking first half and it was in a weird way good to see

It's very strange that it looks to have taken this long as to me it's just all pretty obvious. I think we'd be in a better position in the league now if we'd played what is quite obviously our best back 4 (5 including Dovin), whoever the manager.

Kitching and Simms have to play especially while we’re using 5 at the back.

MVE is seriously off it. BTA should be right down the pecking order.

Without Wright or EMC we have done ok to be fair, without those added time goals it would be 2 wins 2 draws.

Dovin has surely nailed down the GK shirt for the foreseeable future.

I want to see Simms and Kitching starting a run of games, although I’m happy - depending on the match situation - for Bassette to come on for Simms for 20-30 minutes against tiring defences.

I think Bassette has the makings of a good player but he is young and raw at the moment.

Agree with everything but mve.

Thought he was good

But we need a rB in to give home a break. He covered so much ground and we will be in trouble if he gets injured

We would be about 6 points better off if Collins was kept away from the team.
