I was worried about this fixture the most leading up to the international break. Realistically, we need to turn the knife into a flailing team and manager shot of authority. It’s got to be 3 points from this one!

3-1.

Wright has no right (pun intended) to be upset. Been piss poor since we played Sheff Wed where he scored an offside goal. Doesn’t try hard enough.

Maybe he knows something?
Could be he knows after that brace he scored in the international break aren't really going to count for anything,or maybe he's been told he needs to get back over there to have a chance thus the stories of being unsettled returning,Frank needs to ask these questions, I'm sure he has, anyway back him he wears the kit that's all that matters, I certainly wouldn't return to the dogs abuse he was given on here.

This belongs on the Wrexham thread as much as here but we were overly focused on the long ball out l. Need to mix it up a bit. Robins would have been cross

I wonder if Haji Wright is suited to being target man for long balls. He prefers it to his feet. May explain his ineffectiveness lately

We looked better once da silva and torp on. They have to start. Beginning to feel the absence of rudoni.

Woolfenden did not impress. He looked expensive for cover, Premiership experience or not. KKH is clearly very technically gifted just not MVE.

Hopefully Frank will be able to play his best team bar Rudoni. However I would be tempted to play simms

Interesting perspective. Underpinned by humour but perhaps a tad critical? This ain’t The Truman Show but surely we need to back every player?

You'd be mad to take the Stoke price - not that we can't win, but awful odds.

Only 2 games to go now , before another international break!
We’ve been awesome & but for one blip , records have been falling like mad .
Was there a bug going around the camp before Friday’s game , as to certain players levels ……it was mentioned before ?
Would it now be a good time to add to our attacking power , by bringing in Patrick Bamford ?
Pay as you play ….a different option up front & reinforce when we are league leaders ?
We will get back to winning ways tomorrow night , with our midfield looking to be back to near full strength , so another goal feast for us fans & a night to remember .

I am not particularly looking forward to this one tbh - The Enemy thing is a great thing in theory but have a feeling it is gonna distract from the game somewhat and the atmosphere might well peak before kick off

Also resigned myself to the fact the greasy little turncoat is gonna score, for how bad they have been this season he seems to have added more goals to his game, especially since Sourpuss went back there

Assuming Torp, Eccles and Thomas are fit, I’d start with this personally although debated Simms for Wright.

Think Eccles would allow us to retain the ball more and he did well in this role against Birmingham. Really hope Rudoni is on the bench and can get some minutes

wouldn’t worry too much, theyv’e only scored 10 and conceded 23, not getting over confident but it’s a perfect game for us after Friday, gonna be a great atmosphere as well, first midweek game under the lights, and there’s always a bit more on this game,

Like most of our fans, I strongly, strongly dislike Sheffield Utd. Horrible club with a tosser of a manager and a group of arrogant players.

They are a fanbase with an vastly overinflated opinion of themselves, their middle aged adult fans have in their lifetime lived to see us win a major trophy and never their own club yet constantly harp on about how they are the vastly superior club in every aspect

I actually refuse to believe they are any bigger nor smaller than us and the two clubs are actually quite similar but their fans have always been a funny bunch when it comes to us, there were clubs and fanbases I excepted ribbing from when we were on our arse and they were not one of them, they point to the protest game against them like it was a pre-planned way to disrupt them but they won the game and went on to be promoted so their issue is completely pointless, Wednesday did exactly the same to us the other week and we cared not one bit

The whole thing was crass and is not forgotten on my part, as a result I enjoy beating them that little bit more than most other sides, enjoy seeing them where they are now and even considering our history with them and the circumstances we lost the semis, was not overly that gutted to see Sunderland turn them over at Wembley

think we keep it as it is, torp and grimes back in the middle and Asante over Eccles, it’s worked brilliant so far, no need to change it

No Hamer either. Whatever anyone says about his form this season there is no way they aren't immediately better with him back in the team. There's not much to them without him. O'Hare seems to be the danger man! Their fans have been saying Campbell is a shadow of last season (similar to what they are saying about Hamer) and the rest of the team is generally just downgrades on the players that were there last season. Whereas under Lampard we've only lost 2 home games, to last seasons top 2, and should probably have 4 players that were missing on Friday coming back into the team. I can only see one outcome really...

We should be comfortably beating these. They're a much worse side than they were last season and no Hamer tomorrow. As others have said the primary threat is O'Hare, but if we sack off the 2-man midfield then we should have more than enough to cut him out of the game.

Also they're crap away from home having only scored 6 goals in 7 games, while picking up 6 points.

True, but that doesn't detract from the fact that this is a winnable game and we should have enough to get 3 points.

Really we lost the game due to an individual horror show from Wolfenden. If you give any forward that amount of space at this level you're going to get punished.

I don't really expect too many of those this season, hopefully.

I think that we had too many changes imposed on a winning formula. Namely a two man midfield, one of whom is 5th choice, and 3/4 of the defence. Pinning it all on Woolf’s performance is harsh in my opinion.

Sakamoto played a superb game, Grimes did what he does, but nobody else really stepped up. Including the manager I dare say who really should have plugged the midfield at HT when we led against the run of play.

My thoughts and many others on seeing the team sheet were the set up was all wrong (midfield too light) and didn't change it .Poor Jamie and Matt could only fire fight.I think Frank won't make the same mistake.

Why? I don't really think it's that harsh at all really, it was an objectively appalling performance during the second half.

Granted it's difficult coming in as a CB in an unfamiliar backline and both Bidwell and KKH were both poor (especially Bidwell) but for the second and third goal he categorically should've done better.

If in another universe Thomas had been playing we probably wouldn't have lost the game.

I think Haji has suffered since we’ve gone to 4-4-2 but BTA has thrived so it’s a conundrum as to what we do. Simms was unlucky to be dropped in the first place so think it makes sense putting him back in. If not on Tuesday, definitely away at Stoke.

KKH and Wolfenden will come good over time, at this point, the issues are probably chemistry related. Both are fine players for the Championship.

Think it’s harsh to pin the result on him, not to criticise his individual performance which was poor. Kitching was also guilty of standing and staring first half, just his errors weren’t punished.

The very weak midfield I think was the biggest factor, and that stemmed from Lampard not heeding the warnings from the Watford game.

Perhaps. Woolf and KKH have both joined us from Group 1, but the rest of the defence are in Group 4. So we’ve got two players trying to form ionic bonds with a mostly covalent defence.
