The free-kick when Tats was fouled on the edge of the box was very good, took Sheff U completely by surprise.

Didn’t that come from our only short corner as well? I like it when we mix it up, it’s not like we’ve got a team of towering players in the box.

Can’t remember but we could have scored from this set-piece.

Wilder said what I thought - perhaps that effort a little more this season and MR is still in dugout.

Good game, so sloppy defensively, good effort coming back again. Missed some COH magic to unlock.

it’s a great base for new manager.

NB - love it! We need a bit more shit housery in our team.

Can’t believe what I’m reading here. We were all over them.It was a great performance .They are good defensively and parked the bus as soon as they went down to 10. We had enough chances on the 2nd half to win, Thomas Asante (twice), MVE hit the post and the Thomas header.

People expect him to do what bassette does but he’s not got the same acceleration/pace. Thought he put himself about a bit when he came on and was unlucky a couple of times

It's a shame Mark Robins didn't play him, he might still have a job now.

I wonder if Mark watched it on Sky, I'd love to know his thoughts.

I remember Micky Adams declaring Michael Mifsud as being the man who will save his job, and then didn’t play him

I thought he applied himself quite well.

Obviously getting him to do it consistently for 90 mins game after game is a challenge

Should have won by 4. So many chances. If only someone could head a ball better

Here's what I reckoned

1. Collins distribution is the best of the three keepers. Quicker than the other two

2. From a standing start, EMC is prepared to take the full back on. MVE, Tats and Da Silva don't mind going for the line if put through, but not from a standing start. EMC will, and he is such a big unit.

3. If the opposition push up and slow the game down, as Derby and Sheffield have done, Sheaf runs out of ideas. However Rudoni had one of his 'hot' days (you never know with him), so kept up momentum.

4. You can't concede 2 goals a game (with no injuries as an excuse) and expect to move up the table. It's asking too much of the attack. And hell's teeth we had a defensive set up with three at the back and still gave them 2 goals. What was Da Silva thinking of for their second?

5. I now have no idea what our best IX is! I want 3 at the back 2 wing backs 4 in midfield and 2 up front - oops that's 13 players. With Bidwell back I would be inclined to try 4-3-3 - EMC, Norman and Tats as the front three.

He was okay (nothing too special) in my view. Marginally better than his previous cameos. I expected a more pacy player with goals to his game. But so far he has underwhelmed from that perspective.

Rak-Sakyi in particular was a big threat. Probably would've been a different game had him and Campbell not been subbed off due to Ahmedhodžić's dismissal.

First home draw since January 30th, one of our downfalls has been to at least scrape a draw and get a point in the bag. The ammont of home games this calender year when we've lost and should of at least drew is ridiculous

I thought Dasilva was alright, discount the first goal he had a decent game.
Bassette needed that goal, the way he wound no.15 up was quality and he was in his head from the first time he bodied him.
Good header from Bobby, questions over his passing ability but thats not his game he’s a CB defending is his duty.
Milan looked lively in spells, a big chunk of the second half he was struggling/choosing to not get forward as much fuck knows why.
Torp and Rudi were very good at the top of the box and had a strong foundation in Sheaf and Eccles supporting them.
EMC looked class when he came on great balls into the box especially the disallowed goal.
Tatsu looked back to his old self today seems the 3 g/a in the last few games has given him that needed boost.
Simms didnt really have much of a sniff but was physical with that Soutar.
BTA worked hard unlucky with the header and also unlucky to just be caught offside food movement and finish albeit.
Collins seems to have improved his distribution and handling, perhaps his coventry career is far from over.
Rhys Carr made the right changes perhaps only thing could have been to go 2 up top earlier but fair play set us up well 2 defensive lapses cost us the 3 points.
And final point to make nailed on pen on BTA but nope yellow card instead, useless prick ‘ref’ turned up for a day out
Agree with this. Watched it back and it was a pen, not a dive. Missed the assault on MVE with the elbow and should have been another sending off. Was ambivalent about Wider but now think he is a total nob.

Only remember him knocking on a Header in centre circle today really

Would have been nice if he got the winner when BTa flicked it on. Give him some confidence back

He chased one in the box, got on the end of it and got between the ball and the defender, looked up, and there was no one on the box! Really good play though but we dont see enough of it

I think this is a tad harsh, Sheaf was really good today. He moved the ball around quickly and kept the tempo up. Second half our biggest issue was the intensity of forward players, and on particular the decision making and taking too long to get a ball into the box by our wide players. The strikers just stopped making runs in the end as the ball wasn't coming.
