Warburton is hot property and heavily linked to the QPR and Fulham jobs in the summer having taken Brentford to the edge of the Championship Play Offs. He'll also probably be at Brentford's game against Birmingham tomorrow, rather than in our stands. Where he won't be is watching a bottom 4 League 1 side where the CEO heavily influences transfer policy. So far from being a very good shout I don't know how to describe it

It would be rather silly to be bringing in new players when you are about to appoint a new manager. Firstly any decent new manager will want control of this area and not be dictated to days before agreeing a contract. It makes me believe the new man is already picked and looking in the stands at the home game tomorrow will be very telling. There is certain to be one or two there but I believe th ex appointed one already knows who he is. Rosler and Warburton are very good shouts.

It won't be Warburton as he hasn't played him since January, obviously don't rate him

I am a Brentford fan coming in peace. I hope you guys turn things around and finish the season well.

I am not trolling, but I just wanted to let you know that Nick P is a very poor player. He is actually one of the worst strikers I have seen at Brentford for quite a while (since our dark days in league 2). He is naturally akward, slow, very poor in the air (which everyone assumes is his best asset) and mostly unsteady on his feet. Brentford fans had all the same discussions as you 'if Hull paid that amount of money he must have something', if he can recreate his Paderborn scoring record' and 'he'll be a great target man'. Unfortunately he was nothing short of comical when he made substitute appearances. He hasnt been able to even get on our bench for several months. I still fear league 1 may be even a step too high for him, I'd say he would fit in more in a languising league 2 club.

Sorry guys I just didnt want you to get too excited by this signing like we did when he signed for us. Good luck and hope you stay up.

Another german to play for us was Wilf Smith. Born, Wilfreid Schmidt.
At one time the most expensive full back in britain when he signed for us.
Before my time. Can the older lot tell me if he was any good?

Wilf Smith was a good player eventually, he unfortunately badly injured his ankle on his debut at Derby. When he came back Mick Coop had established himself at right back so couldn't really get back in. He actually got into midfield and I rated him there but he did keep getting injured, can't remember where he went to after us or when he went to, one of our exes we never heard about. You are right in saying he was Britains first £100,000 full back.

Yes but here from a kid, maybe even born here, he went to Bishop Ulathorne school. Frank Kletzanbaur was born and bred in dear old Beduff I believe.

Someone asked if the new guy was the first german to play for us. Bruck was mentioned yesterday. I'm just adding other german born players who have played for us. I never said they were the first. I'm interested in finding out about an ex player. Nothing wrong with that is there?

You are not going to get the answer on that, mention players are thrust upon the manager by Steve Waggot and you get shot down. Lets be honest if Pressley puts his player recruitment record on his managerial CV in the future he'll have a job to get an under fifteen manager job.

I'm pretty sure we had Forest fans coming on and saying how shit David McGoldrick was before we brought him in.

I am happy to give the bloke a chance here and see what he does for US, rather than how has been for you.

Appreciate your giving your 10 pence worth though. Good luck for the rest of the season.

since he signed 2000 players, when 1 of them makes it, he will tell potential suitors how he signed them for Coventry and spotted their ability early!

Yup, I remember that! I'm also happy to give him a chance. However, it's always worrying when a fan makes up a profile just to tell you a player's crap!

Of all the signings we've made; this is just unbelievable. No matter which way you look at it, cannot come up with a reason.

Was hoping it was a spiteful volley as new owners are moving in.

Then thought there's probably been a bloody good drink in it for somebody.

Unfortunately, I'm leaning toward the latter.

Destined to be a league 2 player you say? Well that explains why he's come to us then

Sounds like he's not a goalscorer so I hope we don't continue with Pressleys one man up top with two branching off him out wide as that won't work with him (I guess)

Proschwitz has scored on his debut for every English side he has played for. Just saying.

And then draw up a new loan deal next week so he makes a second debut, and repeat 13 times
