High line shouldn’t be a problem against these lot. Frey isn’t a bad striker but he’s probably even slower than Lati

Sorry have to disagree, only one slower than Lati is Sky Blue Sam, and I think he would still give him a run for his money

looking forward to this one. I think we might just nick it but it will be a very close game. BTA can't start, would like to see Bassette and Simms up front together but doubt it'll happen.

Which means EMC is definitely on the bench.

Who else, Wilson, Allen, Ecccles, Binks, Sakamoto, Raphael, Bassette probably.

Still one more seat?

Any news on Haji, EMC and Sheaf? Will be massive for the run in if those 3 are fit. Seems to be going on longer and longer.

I love that the majority assume the captain from the last few games, including a 5 game winning run, is going to be dropped. Consider, this is not only a tactical decision but a man-management/squad morale decision. Some players, not just Allen, might be unimpressed. I would tread carefully if I were FL.
It may be the right decision but it is not without downsides.

Doubt FL would have started Allen in both the last 2 matches, and given him 75 minutes against Ipswich, if he was going to start against QPR.

Torp & Grimes will start. Can't see Rudoni being rested for Allen though. Rumours that Binks may start at LB/LWB though

This is a real full football season, plus a very lean squad due to injuries, and a new player who needs to learn to work with his new teammates. I think JA is a good enough pro that he understands the fundamental concept of rotation.

Plus if anyone thinks JA can maintain the levels he has been doing for the rest of the season then you've mad.

So it sounds like...
Dovin
MVE Thomas Binks Kitching DaSilva
Sakamoto Grimes Torp Rudoni
Simms

Grimes straight in as captain? I dunno. Thomas or Binks perhaps.

Calm down people - it's a 4-1 win. My first game at Highfield road in 1977 (I was a Liverpool fan at the time) we won 4-1. I had a very vivid dream about the game. 2 nights ago...so I'm lumping a tenner on it.

Actually, having given it as bit more thought, I also made sure it was my eldest sons 1st game at Highfield road (he's a Man Utd fan) and we lost 2-1 in 2005 and also my daughters 1st game we won 1-0 in 2010. So I've downgraded from a tenner to 50p.

Basically 3 points in the bag - stop manifesting a loss negative people!!!

So what made you change, just interested.

I'd rather lose a leg then change allegiance.

A lot of expectation on Grimes, naturally. Need a bit of realism in that he's spent most of his career at Swansea not Liverpool or Man City.
So I'm expecting better than what we have but not the second coming.
Hopefully that's enough to make a significant difference.

4-2-3-1?

MVE - Thomas - Kitching - Binks
Grimes - Eccles
Sakamoto - Torp - Rudoni
Simms

Lamps dropping a curveball with a back 4 and Rafael starting?

Wouldn’t mind the box but you’d have to take out Allen to match Saddles news, maybe we could play Eccles there?

Could play Rudoni centre and Rapha on the wing. Torp plays alongside Grimes?

Another option, but can't see Raphael starting when it appears he's building up to 30 minutes of game time.

5 at the back, and 1 up top, would be a disaster against these.

3-4-2-1 is okay as long as the 10s can support the forward

yeah, as it's unlikely we switch from a 5 just yet

other option is 3-4-3 with 1 striker and 2 wide men

There was very little reason to switch from what was working before the Leeds match, Grimes coming in perhaps the only exception.
