I'll try and look at their squad, had a period out with injury but back now, thinking something like Bray or Gray.

No. He means Frey. However, he is slow as, so maybe a higher line would work better against him.

Something is really telling me we’ll lose this, which I never usually feel for any home game. Hopefully proved wrong!

Big game this one.

Just as the positivity was coming back, we got bossed by Leeds and beaten heavily by Ipswich (though the scoreline does flatter them). Both powder puff performances, where we looked blunt up front and wide open at the back.

Grimes starting tomorrow will be make a huge difference, and hopefully he will provide the cover the defence need.

Team picks itself doesn’t it. Lati back at RCB,
JDS for Bidwell (if the former can’t play).
Torp, Grimes & Rudoni in midfield,
BTA & Simms up front.

If EMC is on the bench, we could then switch to a 4-3-3 if things are not going well

Leeds were simply a class above - plus FL decided to choose continuity over setting up for the opposition in front of you, something Robins loved to do often. He should never have played 5-3-2 with that high line. A tactical error in my opinion.

Against Ipswich we played at least 5 players we wouldn't play with a fit squad. Of the remaining 6 we basically played everyone out of position except Rudoni and Dovin.

I don't think we can learn much from the past 2 matches. Hopefully it's a continuation of form which we displayed on our 5-win run, and QPR fall into the bracket of mid-table Championship teams we've been playing well against.

Well your wrong we won 5 on the bounce, made More chances against Leeds than most teams and put our reserves out against Ipswich, no reason why we can’t go on another run

can see it happening, playing Peterborough at home who have been leaking goals recently and Godden on a run of scoring - what's the odds offering?

Key to us getting a result is finding a way to stop giving stupid goals away again. Two things integral to that are to keep being pragmatic - hit row Z if required. And try and find a formation without Binks or Dasilva in it. I think we have to play JDs in this one however.

After that tawt Chair giving it the Billy Big B*ll*cks and running to Singers Corner, rather than his own fans , last season, I hope we a) stuff them and b) stick a few on him. Good player, but after what he had been up to off the pitch, really took a dislike to him, and that just exacerbated it.

Edit: Was this the game that the QPR fans played up at and created a bit of a 'thing' with City fans at the time?

Calm down people - it's a 4-1 win. My first game at Highfield road in 1977 (I was a Liverpool fan at the time) we won 4-1. I had a very vivid dream about the game. 2 nights ago...so I'm lumping a tenner on it.

Actually, having given it as bit more thought, I also made sure it was my eldest sons 1st game at Highfield road (he's a Man Utd fan) and we lost 2-1 in 2005 and also my daughters 1st game we won 1-0 in 2010. So I've downgraded from a tenner to 50p.

Basically 3 points in the bag - stop manifesting a loss negative people!!!

I’d like to see us play 433

GK - Dovin
RB - van Ewijk
CB - Thomas
CB - Kitching
LB - Burroughs
CDM - Grimes
CM - Torp
CM - Rudoni
RW - Sakamoto
ST - Simms
LW - Rapha

Some very very questionable calls I know, but I think we need to go back to a 4 at the back with Thomas and Kitching as they are our best CBs, as Lati needs a rest and I just dont fancy Binks.
I think Tatsu works better as a winger with van Ewijk working behind him get this partnership back up and running.
Bidwell is out I’d rather not see Dasilva at LB in a 4, Burroughs has the physicality but does he have the quality god knows,
Torp and Rudoni have to start,
Grimes give him a go as that single pivot anchoring the midfield linking defence to midfield and offering defensive support,
Frank said himself Rapha is ready its about finding a way to give him a chance I think EMC will be back on the bench for this one so its now or never,
Simms up top for me give Asante a rest and add the fact he cant play as a lone striker especially in our system.

Id love to see burroughs start, cant remember the last time we had a cov youth start, or even come off the bench.

I watched them against Blackburn last week and they are nothing to fear. Blackburn still had half the team out injured and although QPR eventually won the game they were very poor. Ignore our last 2 results, Leeds were outstanding and probably controversial but we played two L1 midfielders against a Premier League Club in the cup match. QPR's away form is W2, L2, D2 and the two wins were Against Hull & Plymouth who were both in the bottom 3 at the time.

2.0 win City.

I remember going to that match in January 1995, we lost 1-0 at home and had something ridiculous like 22 corners and still couldn't score.
