I dunno but there's something about long, streaky and pissy goalkeepers from Denmark that just seems to rattle me.

Shame because their other goalkeeper looks fucking shite

Not sure why you'd drop Saka. Goal and an assistant Saturday and only played half a game so should be fresh.

I can't see there being too much change from the team that started at Bristol bar Lati tbh.

He was prime Courtois against us at their place so of course he’s back to probably have the best game of his life

Our rivals are unlikely to drop PTS on Saturday

So important to win this one so that a draw or loss to soton isn't landing us in hot water

Awful? If they win they are 5pts off playoffs.

And just lost 3-1 at home to Oxford, we’ll be fine

Even Southampton, they’ve lost more away games than they’ve won and their away PPG is 1.27.

We’re a 2.47 PPG team at home, we really ought to get 10 points from PNE, Southampton, Derby and Sheff W. Then we have Pompey and Wrexham at home to close out the season at home.

Looking at our fixture list, we don’t have any scary fixtures remaining. That doesn’t mean we won’t drop points, I’m just confident we’ll keep the points tally ticking over.

Should be a comfortable 3 0 win to us tonight they have 1 win in there last 11 games. Just need to go after them from the off. Think lamps will bring in a few changes so a few of the boys are fresher for Saturday....roll on 650 tonight to see teamsheet

I honestly think this will be a very tough game and I am not convinced we will take advantage of Ipswich's slip up last night.

We are not going to keep winning every single game. It's just so unlikely and Preston will be physical and try and disrupt tonight .

I don't think we can just say it's going to be easy. Might prove to be, but we may need to score early on.

You also can't just say Oxford beat them last Friday, so we should beat them tonight. Football doesn't just work like that. Port Vale just beat Bristol City and Sunderland. It just so often
doesn't work that way and anyone is capable of beating anyone.

I just have niggly doubts about this one tonight and I don't think it's just going to be pain sailing

I would also think that this is probably not a game for Esse against a very physical Preston side. If he's fit and you want to counter that physicality, you play Saka

Hard to predict. Heart obviously says the City, but head is telling me either a 0-0, or shock horror, a smash and grab Preston win.

And I am half expecting a red card

Iverson was the reason we didn’t score numerous times at their place, and him not being in the team has coincided with a terrible run for them.. could do with him not being back to decent fitness and form.. saying that, normal plan should do it.. get into them early, swarm both wings and let Haji do his thing …

Dunno why head would say draw or lose tbh, that would be an unlikely outcome if you took your Coventry fan hat off and just looked at the fixture.
Think we'll be fine, enjoy it. The following 2 fixtures are much harder so could do with the 3 points.

Yeah. I do think we will win. I just have a bit of a niggling doubt and really am saying, I would not be at all surprised if we didn't win tonight

Maybe that's how I should have worded it.

I think we will win, but would not be in the least surprised if we didn't. And we will have off days. We are not going to play well every single game

or they’re confident in a team that’s just won they’re last 5 that they can beat a team who haven’t won in 5

Yeah. That's how football works.

There are surprise results every single week. It's what makes the game so interesting.

Fine to be a bit confident, but we can't expect us to play well every week and win every week.

We will slip up at some point. That's football.

I think Preston will make it very difficult for us and I don't think a win is a given at all . Could well see us struggling.

I'm not negative. How many times in our history have we won 6 games in a row?

That tells you all you need to know.

We won't play well every week and if a team sits really deep, we have struggled in the past with that tactic

They will park the bus but we'll score with a rebound off the post and keepers back, positivity.
Enjoy the ride

I’m full of nervous excitement for this one. Three points would be massive for us after Ipswich dropped points last night and ahead of our difficult fixture against Southampton. I really want us to get at least four points from these next two.

How many times in our history have we had a home record under one manager of 77 points from 32 games? Of course WE COULD fail to win as that is football, but it would be a big shock if we didn't win tonight.

We need to make the most of the next two home games.

Tonight will be tough as Preston will be negative and well organized defensively. Could do with an early goal really before they have chance to settle.

Southampton will be more open, but a better footballing side and now getting into their stride. They will pose us a different set of problems.

The way I see it too.

I think we may well create more chances against Southampton, at least.

Got us down for four points from the next three think we either win this and draw on Saturday or visa versa. Think the two after this are two of the three hardest games we’ve got left tbh.

How many times have Preston been shocking and still shocked us?

They are a good defensive side and capable of making it very difficult for us. They are also good at boxing you in, despite their league position. Their goals F and A have draws written all over it, which is probably why they are where they are.
