Yesterday was fucking great, beginning to end. Nice weather, good atmosphere in the stadium from the start, we had our first chance within 10 seconds and it didn't once feel like we wouldn't get the win even when it was a bit dicey near the end.

So hard to pick out any individuals because they were all great, but the improvement from Simms and Thomas has been incredible to see. I loved watching Simms dominate the game even though he didn't get on the scoresheet. Grimes runs the show without breaking a sweat. Sakamoto looked back to his old self.

I can't bring myself to worry about the other teams around the playoffs, I just want to enjoy these good times!

Yeah it’s very odd. Eccles has been poor in previous showings.

He was really good yesterday. Some excellent defence splitting passes. Yes not all of them came off, but that’s always the case when taking that risk.

Absolutely did not have a “stinker”, it’s really weird what some people see.

Fuck me. He’s in front of the ball and the ball is played forward. There’s nothing onside about it.

That’s from a different angle, isn’it?

Is it a still from a replay? Or just a smartphone photo that happily coincided with the pass being made.

I have been basing my doubt on replay video from pitch side level where, to me, it looked as if the pass into Keane might have been a slight pull back. But hey, I’m a specky 4 eyes so probably wrong.

I have more sympathy to the argument that the pass out to the winger should have resukted in an offside being awarded

Is that precisely when the pass was made. It’s the problem with stills, only need to be a fraction out and makes a huge difference in perspective of positioning - as at Wembley.

The linesman was behind the play which is why he got it wrong.

The year we got to the play offs we played Preston at their place in February.
Just had a look at the line ups, our bench was awful.

Yesterday's was miles ahead in terms of quality.

Just thought I'd mention it!

Yeah, he was doing that a fair bit before his recent injury yet he wasn't last season when he was playing so well.

I had a decent view of the goal and my first take that it was well offside. That lino seemed to get another 1 or 2 wrong too.

How does that work @Otis ? Season ends now because of some unforeseen event(s) and we get promoted based on ppg over last 10 games, seems perfectly fair to me

Yes, I realise that. As (after following them for nearly 60 years) due to ill health we are not able to attend matches any more, we rely on listening to it on the day on CWR or if it is on Sky Sports, then we can watch the full match next day on ifollow.

I was in 17 and directly in line with it. He was a good two feet off side when the winger played the ball into him.
That lino missed another couple of clear offsides after their goal as well. He was dreadful and the crowd started to get on his back

That’s from the Sky highlights. Looks like the camera is about in line with penalty area. So there’s an angle (see 6 yard box for example) to where the ball is passed.

Can see Kitching (or is it Thomas) stopping his run and leaning back to play him onside. Risky call 8 yards from goal

Their goal looked offside to me though tighter than some are making out - to play devils advocate I am nor sure that Saka was not miles offside for Rudoni's header but not sure I'll get a view of that one. tbf he was never interfering with goalie but we have had goals similar to that ruled out for similar.....was a great performance however and nice to break both Swansea and Preston hoodoos.

Oxford will be tougher away than some are making out I think but we should go there in full confidence be lovely to get Hadji on bench but feeling it might be just too soon for him....not sure if Sheaf has a full week training he should go straight back in......lovely to have options with Torp maybe back as well - I genuinely feel sorry for Jamie Allen even if it might be the right call to bench him.

Sorry to hear you can't make it anymore mate.
No doubt that day will come to many of us.

I have heard that there are ways of watching every game live on the tellybox, even the 3.00pm Saturday games.

Are you aware of this?

I am using Fawanews at the moment.

It does buffer sometimes, but they always seem to have City's games on..

Know there must be other ways, but not being very computer literate, don't know what they are. How do we do that?

We’re in block 17 aswell and thought the Preston goal was offside from the pass to the Preston player on the wing. Not so sure now looking at this still when the ball was played.
It looks like the right call if you look at our player on the edge of the area and the white line marking the edge of the penalty area?
Obviously that’s another angle though.

Whether it is or not. It was offside a few seconds before and shouldn’t have even got that far.

The other option is to pay for a VPN and then buy a season ticket for iFollow. That mess you can get the Saturday 3pm kickoffs too, totally legally

It was a lot closer than people think. Lino was caught off-guard by the quick through ball though and isn't in line. It probably is a Haji toenail off
