Happy with the starting XI (obviously with the exception of Burge). McDonald and French Tony are going to be key players if we are going to compete this year. McNulty to make up for his bad fortune last week with a brace in a 2-1 win. Pope for Vale to make it 1-1. Duck to come off the bench and smash the bar from 40 yards.

McDonald back! Gonna be alright now.

Yep. Had us down for a 5-1 defeat. Now I know Rod McDonald is back I am now going for a 4-0 to us. Clean sheet obviously, but also a hat trick of bullet like headers by the iron man from corners.

Glad McDonalds back but shame we seem to be sticking with the same formation

Yep that is very good news, would rather have Hyam back alongside him but we can't have everything.

I hope we won't be lumping balls forward to their defence! Maybe Andreu will play a bit deep to bridge the yawning gap between Doyle/ Kelly and the forwards.

Boiling now! Hopefully the pitch will be slippy and we can use that to our advantage

We also have the advantage of Carl Baker in the ground.

That should suck a couple of balls in.

No, he definitely doesn't look like lino.

They have Barnett and Pope up front, prepare for a battle in the air all game.

Will be a big test for McDonald and Willis I think. Both strikers are 6'3 and strong. Barnett played against us for Wimbledon last year I think, gave us trouble all game in the air.

Barnett is just coming back from injury, so maybe he won't play the full 90 minutes.

Hopefully somebody will let him know they are there early on. Wimbledon had 2 decent big strikers, if he's the one I think he won everything all game and their whole game was around him

First shot for Vale. Long range effort trying to catch Burge out with help from the sun. Hit it well but no direction

Btw if people don't know, haven't seen it posted.
Biamou picked up an injury in the warm up so Ponti is now on the bench.
