These listed ‘ we were entertaining’ games often included a sending off for the opposition, giving us an advantage

Didn't realise a game couldn't be classed as entertaining if there's a red card!

Pressure is on today. Big home crowd against a struggling team expecting a performance and result. Hope they deliver!

How bloody early in the morning would that be taking place?! Not sure that they'd be in for 8am training, surely?

You know what I meant , the advantage meant we could start to look better on the ball and get the goals back we needed.

Woke up with zero enthusiasm for this... we're playing a side in the relegation zone with no away win to their name

That's what this team has done to me

Least it'll be nice to see a complete sell out in the home end

We played some of our best football in both of those games prior to the sendings off to be fair.

We were on top in both, but as usual, as soon as the opposition attacked, they scored.

I expect us to be a lot more solid at the back providing we bring in Dovin, Kitchin and Bidwell
I expect us to be more forceful in midfield providing we swap Sheaf for Eccles
And I expect us to be more potent up front providing Simms starts
Obviously if the changes aren't made then I expect we'll get much of the same

That's happened a lot.

We have looked decent, have been on the front foot and keeping teams pinned back, but the first attack, or breakway the opposition have, they score.

It's very poor.

more and more pressure on these players every week now, even more today with a full house, hope they’re all up to it, start like we did against portsmouth and should be a cracking game/atmosphere, 4-1 cov

Yup. I think we will see a total reversal of the Portsmouth game

I am going for 4-1 too.

And Christmas is always throwing up odd results. Thrash a team in one game and then get thrashed yourselves the next game.

It's quite often all over the place.

Just a quick reminder to those with Amazon Prime and can’t get or see our game, there’s lots of Prem games live today.

Spot on, it’s a mad league, 100 % win today, were due one of those games where we take all our chances, just can’t see anything but a win today, these are shockingly bad away,

with the way we’re trying to play now, getting it wide and getting crosses in I’d 100% start simms today, maybe even up front with Bassette ? If we’re not going all out against Plymouth then I’d worry

Yes I'm much the same. 2 1/2 hour drive each way doesn't help either. Mugs the lot of us.

Home game, sell out crowd on boxing day, against a team in the relegation zone who can't buy a win away from home. The kind of ingredients that usually spell disaster for City. That said....

There has GOT to be a response after the last lot of malarkey, that was about as bad as it gets. For the love of all that is festive, PLEASE no Brad Collins in goal. He's had his chance, he isn't up to it. it's time for someone else to have a crack at it now.

Holmes for Luton was sent off in the 90th minute. We scored the winner a minute later. We had dominated at Middlesbrough, creating chances until their guy was sent off after 20 odd minutes. The sending off actually galvanised them for a while and changed the nature of the game.
