I am expecting a top notch performance and a very nice win.

If they don't come out of the blocks absolutely firing, in the desire to put things right, there is something very amiss.

I'm sure we will see a vastly improved display. Confident of a win.

To be fair we did come out of the blocks firing the other day and it looked like we could hammer them. Unfortunately Collins soon put a stop to that.

At least Whittaker is injured, if you had a player like that targeting the left side of our defence i think that would cause real trouble regardless of whether the rest of their team is hopeless.

This is what bothers me. We come out firing, which is fine, but then we pull out the old ‘Don’t convert, concede and crumble’ combo!

Two things about this game.
Plymouth havnt won away all season so in classic city style we will gift them their first away win in front of a full house.

The referee for this game is Adam Herczeg who has been reffing in league one all season and this will be only his second game in the championship so expect him to be shit

I think a Bidwell start is pretty well assured because he features on the program front cover. I may be wrong but I have never seen a player featured on the cover that has not been in the starting line up.

I put the loss on Collins and Dasilva, but the lack of any fight as soon as it went 4-1 (still had 35 mins to play at that point) was worrying.

If I was Lampard I'd have told them that if any of them no longer want to play for the club they're free to leave in Jan.

The message has to be now that this isn't a shop window, it's a football club. Anyone who wants to leave can. Anyone who wants to be here better earn their place. And even if you have an eye on a Premier League move you need to put in the performances on the pitch to get it.

Nice to have a ref on the up rather than one being demoted from the prem?

Yeah prefer that tbh, the ones coming down always seem to have huge egos and a desire to be the centre of attention. You'd think someone on their way up would be trying to keep things as uneventful as possible.

Eccles in for Torp for me, (to add some grit in midfield) otherwise I'd be happy with that.

Should be Eccles in for Sheaf really, but that would be a huge call for Lampard

Yea I thought about that, but Torp and Rudoni would be too lightweight IMHO. Especially if we plan on playing midgets like Sakamoto and (God forbid) Dasilva in the starting line up.

It does feel that way with our club being a stepping stone for players to move on. I believe its something Robins mentioned a few times that he was tired of players using us as a stepping stone instead of committing to the club

Just listening to the latest Not The Top 20 podcast and they were talking up how much better and well organised Plymouth have looked since Mike Phelan came in.

Need a good reaction. I didn’t see the last game as had another wrestling match. But from the highlights we were atrocious once they equalised. They have to show us what they’re made of. With a new manager and a transfer window approaching they’re literally playing for their long term futures at this club

Still conceded 7 in that time. It's similar to us with Lampard, whilst until Saturday we had looked much better, we are still conceding.

Plymouth looked decent against Sheffield united, but they give up a lot of chances in general and similar to our players so far this season have a weak mentality.

I'd be amazed if there aren't significant changes for the game.

Almost certain to start for me are:
Dovin (Wilson if fit)
Bidwell
Lati
Eccles
Simms

And I'd also bet Thomas-Asante and Kitching will play as well.

Simple fact is that Lampard has had long enough to look at this lot and realise that Collins & JDS are shit. Also Binks shouldn't be starting too. Bassette is too early in his development to be starting and should be a bench replacement. Play Simms Dovin Bidwell Kitching.
Eccles in pla e of Sheaf .

Brave move to drop Sheaf, but the right decision. Time we moved on from him, he obviously has got the shits because he didn't get his summer move.
