Enjoyed us controlling the tempo second half.

It was a bore fest but really controlled performance.

Lati keeps his spot at CB for me now.

He didn't look injured. Hopefully just felt a bit tight and he'll be good for Sunday.

29K hats off everyone. That’s a very credible attendance. That comfortably beats a few Prem teams!

He’s still a shit footballer “technically” speaking I think.

However, doesn’t always mean you’re “shit at football”. He has worked well in a team of late and sometimes that’s what you need. Think when he is able to just do the simple stuff, his desire and commitment to the cause allows him to do a good job. Got a lot of respect for him.

I don't think Latibeaudiere is ever going to be a top Championship CB (nor did he have to be today) but he always applies himself to whatever job he's asked to do, despite his limitations. And weirdly I like him for that.

I like a lot of what I see since Lampard took over and I think a few individuals look improved already but the single biggest one has to be EMC. It really is some change, suddenly looks worth the money and is frankly undroppable.

And apparently has had a slight injury all season. Hence, his early substitution against Pompey and today.

Worst side I've seen this season , can't see Rooney lasting much longer.

Don't care what anyone says, I fully see why Bassette starts over the other options atm. His movement moves defenders and makes room for others.

But some people say Simms should play, and when he does come on, does he impose himself does he f**k, against one of the worst teams in the league, what the hell, same goes for a Thomas Assante.

Still, they did look very poor

Good all around performance and avoided a potential banana skin.

Happy to see quite a few do well and in particular Eccles making an impact after being out the squad.

Happy for Dovin as well, while he didn’t have much to do, thought he was calm and collected. Really good save as well.

Now we just need to keep it up for Millwall

haha- we were never, ever in danger of relegation. Not then, not now.

It was beyond negativity to suggest we were ever at serious risk of going down, only those with ‘an agenda’ or compulsively pessimistic were saying otherwise.

So one point off relegation and you’ve been beaten by championship powerhouses like Derby and Sheffield Wednesday meant we were never in danger at all.

Makes perfect sense that

Don't talk rubbish.

People constantly tried to play down achievements under Robins.

And Plymouth were shit, there's no point pretending otherwise.
But I'm still of the train of thought that you can only beat what's in front of you, and we did it emphatically.

Sheffield Wednesday have the 5th best championship record of 2024 I believe and are 4 points off 6th currently, Derby will go above us as they're beating west brom 1-0

Yeah Plymouth were shit. I didn't think I'd see a worse team than Hull, but fair play to Plymouth they smashed it.

12 away games now, only 3 goals scored and conceded 33, managing just 2 draws. Add to that missing 4-5 of their best players like Whittaker. They will finish bottom.

Doesn't matter if it's Lampard or Robins. They were shit.

It was a very good performance today and a great reaction to the diabolical second half performance at Portsmouth. Okay Plymouth are no great shakes, but you can only play what is on front of you. At times this season we have failed to put teams away even if they are very poor...so a step in the right direction.

I was just glad to see the main two weak links out of the team, Collins and Da Silva. If anybody can't see Bidwell is a better defender, a better attacking option and more astute tactically than Da Silva.... then I would question their knowledge of football and whether they actually go to games.

Dovin and Wilson are the way forward in goal. In one and a half season I have seen nothing in Collins to suggest why we bought him?

I can't say that this would inspire much confidence

Wayne Rooney: We have tried so many things but it isn't working!

Wayne Rooney reflects on another disappointing away result to Coventry City where his Plymouth Argyle side lost 4-0.

Sure but being poor 1 game means very little to how they are in general , they are now above us as it stands

We were playing bottom and you could see why so lets not get carried away, but really pleased we put on a performance to a full house and gave everyone a christmas lift that was definately needed. Dovin didn't need to do much but a great save and more commanding display when required should hopefully give the defence a bit more confidence. Thought Joel was great, showed strength and versatility, just a shame we have to put a lot on him. Desilva going forward is supposed to be the reason some preferred him over Bidwell, well Bidders seems to be more than capable of doing that when required, I know who I'd rather see as first choice. Happy for Josh too who's had a fair bit of stick over the years, deservedly some times, but too brilliant strikes from long range shows you dont aways need to blow millions as long as you have the team to develop potential.

So is over half the league. Sheffield Wednesday however did look very impressive, overperforming big time given the average players they've got on paper.
