Right, now I've had time to calm down a bit!

Realistically, we were in control for most of it and deserved to win. Probably should have a had a few more to seal the game.

But blood hell our defence needs a talking to, because those two goals were soft as shit to give away.

Anyway, I'm glad we won. It's my Birthday tomorrow, so it's a nice early present!

Full credit to Oxford for playing an open game with an intent to go for it instead of parking the bus.

Defensively we’re poor, or shall I say we make stupid mistakes

Fair doos. I take the lucky comment back. The emotion and frustration when I was convinced we wouldn't win took over.

He should probably just go back to Thomas and Kitching who were very good for a period last season and see what they can do.

Tuesday was ok, on the whole we defend ok but we make stupid mistakes and we’re crying out for a talker and a leader back there in the fads mould

Let's be honest, we were decent to watch, good options off the bench going forward, and battered them.

Their second goal is one of the worst goals I've ever seen. Two players sold by a dummy. Torp slow in tracking back leaving them onside, the worst comedy diving header attempt you'll ever see that's hit their strikers knob, literally, and gone in. He didn't even celebrate it.

Wright had FIVE shots on target. We battered them

The defence continuously gives away soft goals, or the team does.

Individually they’re fine, but we need to stop conceding stupid goals

Well the few times they attacked, they scored. They didn’t just sit back and equalized twice regardless of luck.

How would a talker help Simms put his foot through the ball ?

At this point the defence is probably a bigger priority than midfield if we’re to have a chance of being in contention.

Or is it the lack of a more defensive minded midfielder?

I want it to be really clear that wasn't all on the defence. The whole team needs to defend better. It was Simms who fucked up with the first.

No that’s fair re Simms mistake, I still think we need an experienced head, as do many others.

I agree with that, should place greater emphasis on defending better as a team.

Crikey, there’s some rot on here. We’ve absolutely battered Oxford and played sublime football. I know it’s frustrating if we aren’t winning but come on, that was superb. We’ll destroy a lot of teams this year. Wright, MVE, Saka, Binks superb. Also Lati had a solid game. I had my doubts but he was decent.

No matter how we play you come on here and it’s suicide watch. We’ve absolutely battered Oxford here and half the posts are about how we’ve “got away with one”

Genuinely hope everyone’s OK.

I mean we've been looking for 'tweaks' there for years.
We need some quality but that obviously isn't easy to find or cheap.
I hope we are considering some loan options.

Yeah you have to take in play comments for what they are. Completely extreme either way. It ain't half funny reading back some of the muppetd though. Someone's written EMC off after 17 mins of football
