Wow.. great performance by everyone even the subs came on and done a great job. Where was the gaping holes in midfield today.? Doyle was fantastic today in fact they all were to a man. I know its only the 1st game but please let be the shape of things to come, I thought there would have been more there today with hardly any parking places to be had but those who wasn't there.. you missed a good game and 3 great goals from the young pony tailed wizard

Gutted it took division 4, before we are able to do this.
However despite that it still feels bloody good.
Can see the future been the Duck and Jones feeding off Biamou.

Brilliant. We played as a team and just looked such an organised unit the whole game. Nobody looked poor. So happy.

This.

Enjoyed the game so much, complete team effort, everyone did their bit, and just so happy with the win.
I know its the first game but it felt brilliant.

Reaping the benefits of getting people in early and having a proper amount of time to bed them in.

At sixfields and under robins before we battered teams regularly.

This is one game.

to put a bit of a downer on things I thought that county were poor up front yet stilled caused more problems than they should of.
A better attack would have got goals today, though saying that, first competitive game for this defence so hopefully it will improve as we go on.

The downside to me was mcnulty and Beavon looked poor and the first sub looked below league level. Beavon was terrible - I thought defensively it was ok and the keeper dominated, the full backs played like full backs - namely defend - and the midfield two were so much better than the trash last season. Vincetti is a typical robins player as well. Hard work and closing down.

I think Hyam played well considering he wasn't first choice and we would, possibly, be more solid if Willis was in there.

keeper was a big plus, thought he looked far better than Burge or RCC. Where was Burge? Is he injured?

Agree about Beavon. He works his socks off but if he holds down a regular place this season we will not have improved sufficiently up front for a promotion push .

Away at the athletics today and tbh gutted I wasn't there!
So chuffed to get a win and sounded a good team performance. Great as the football was at the start of the season before last, it was built on great individual performances rather than a team and a squad, which is what we need over 46 games.

Our defence won't come up against many awkward strike pairings like stead and ameobi .
Dealt with them relatively well

I heard notts country predicted for mif table to top 10? So we may alot of teams that are easier.

Yes there will be tough patches and games but i think no fear and a bit of swagger is the way to go

We seem to have added a little bit of steel and tenacity in all areas. That will make a difference.

So the general consensus is that O'Brien looked better than Burge?

To me they were poor up front as we were quite strong in midfield. They were reduced to mainly the long ball. And I thought we coped quite well with it.
