It wasn't a freak scoreline. Some of the passing and movement in that first half was stunning. I'd rather we scored the majority of chances we create, than miss them (Like Oxford 1st half)

100% agree.
Some of our football recently is sublime and at other times pure dog shit.
We took QPR apart in the first half with some sensational attacking play.

Just hope we’ve spent two week practicing defending set pieces. Or we might as well leave seven attackers up.

Going to be a good test of how good we are. Will be a tough game and we need to show metal to get the win.

Does anybody know which is the first post-match train towards the City which stops at the Arena? Does the 17:50? Cheers

Now we own the CBS do we now train there dure the week, and if so, do we think it can be advantageous?

There are people who’ve been fooled by that 7-1 freak scoreline who now think Norwich will be no problem at all. Conveniently forgetting that we ultimately were lucky to get a point at Oxford.

We really weren't lucky to get a point? We were the better team and Wright should've won it at the end

We probably could but they've relaid all the pitches at Ryton to exactly match the CBS so probably no need.

Well there was the 30+ minutes we were more or less under the cosh with no help from the dugout. Maybe ‘lucky’ isn’t the right word. But we didn’t deserve more than we got.

Rushworth
MvE Woolf Kitching Brau*
Torp Grimes Rudoni
BTA Wright EMC

Wilson, Dasilva/Bidwell*, KKH, Thomas, Eccles*, Andrews, Allen, Saka, Simms

*depending on injuries

I'd bring Woolf in and drop Thomas. If Dasilva isn't fit bring in Brau. Tempting to bring back Saka but at home I'd keep BTA in as a bigger goal threat for now.

Can see it being a high scoring game, but we almost never beat them so I'm going 4-2 loss and hope we can get over the jinx.

Now he's taken the armband from Kitch and given it permanently to Grimes, im not entirely convinced Kitch will start tomorrow. I see Woolf playing ahead of him possibly?
I may be completely wrong and it wouldn't be the first time ive made 2 + 2 = 600! But I would say he's more likely to drop 1 of the 2 for Woolf than he is to start with all 3. Its nice to have all 3 to switch things around. Tighten up against attacking teams, injuries to wingers etc. But we'll be starting the Norwich game, 433. That, id put money on. Its just who is in the back 4 is the big question mark.

Strong bench, woolfenden, sakamoto and Hayden on it, we haven’t had that quality for a while

If we're announcing the line-up on the day before now, can the kitman have his job back?

To go with your username I think it's safe to grimesy rather than Grimey for the nickname, like Binksy et al.

Windy again on Saturday. Though the conditions helped Oxford in the second half. Unsure about Norwich with high balls. We like to play on the deck.
Time to put the bogey to bed.

Need a win, don’t want that gap to get too big at the top after only 5 games

Apart from the large number of goals we've conceded that should be defendable and the errors that have led to them.

A lot of those are from set pieces where midfielders and forwards haven’t picked up, or hate to say it,and goalkeeper errors, the whole team need looking at defensively,

If for whatever reason things aren't going to plan I would like to see FL make tactical and or personnel personnel changes sooner.
Hopefully this won't be necessary and we are comfortably ahead .

Think Tats will help out defensively which we’ll need versus Norwich. BTA also a good option off the bench.

Woolf above Thomas, personal opinion but think Kitching has done better so far as deserves to keep his spot.

Brau only starts depending on how fit Dasilva is.

Clever answer but the rail websites show all trains as stopping at the arena including 5pm which isn’t the case in reality is it?

The Woolf isn't going to start, whats the point of destroying 1 of our Centre backs confidence, even though our defendings dog shit at times, I guess he will come on for a debut at some point though. Both Thomas and Kitching are goal threats...unfortunately its our goal they threaten the most!
