Is this off the back of the rumour started by them yesterday?

Didn't the club match Tony Mowbray's ambitions and demands to hire him in the first place?

That paper just oozes CCFC positivity! It's too much!

On a side note when we officially become a suburb of Birmingham, will it cease to be called the Coventry Evening Telegraph? It's already printed there for a start.

to me this is a story about a story that they have brought to the attention of currently excited fans..... the only part of all of it that is legitimate is Fulham could be interested in TM because of our impressive start and there lack of a manager, everything else to me seems spinning the same record, personally i think the owners and new MD needs to clarify our future direction but at the moment you enjoy what is happening as in the summer SISU gave TM what he wanted!

It's just modern journalism. Let's have a heated debate....and people will, so they print more of it.....People get the press they deserve.

Although he hasn't quite set the world alight, we do have Joe Cole warming our bench so what does that say? It isn't like it's Kevin Malaga or Manset.

The ranting comments on the other "rumour" have given birth to this piece.

Extract from CET article

"With all due respects to the hugely popular Sky Blues boss, the availability of Swansea’s Garry Monk might just keep the wolf from the door on this particular occasion. Fingers crossed anyway.

Do the CET not understand that Garry Monk is no longer at Swansea?

I think that's why they said he is available.

It was pretty much based on a rumour they started themselves. I don't get why? Get behind the football team.

My only criticism on this piece is that he offers no solutions. We all know Mowbray will be in demand, that's inevitable, but what AT doesn't point out is how hard (or impossible) it might be to match his ambitions, particularly when compared to the riches of some Championship clubs.

Say something mildly incendiary and they've got one of those 'YOUR REACTIONS' pages lined up for later.

If, and when TM has got us promotion- then start panicking. His value will be higher then. I assume that he made a deal at the begining. I don't know the guy, but he has been straight in the past and he has been honest with us i.e. No showmanship, no bullshit about how the game went. I think he will stay for Now as it will look better on his CV and he will go next year- when we are up.

If you google "Tony Mowbray Fulham"

You get links to the Coventry Telegraph stories, websites that link to the Coventry Telegraph stories, and links to Fulham apparently going to appoint Tony Mowbray as Director of Football/ Manager last September.

Oh and links to him getting the Fulham job in 2011.

Absolutely nothing from anywhere apart from the Coventry Telegraph linking him to the Fulham job.

Now either we have Woodward and Bernstein quality reporting on the Telegraph who have got a real scoop, or, more likely, Rodgers and Hammerstein trying to set up a managerial "Carousel" themselves for whatever reason.

Exactly, there's no mention of it anywhere. I could understand if they were just passing it on from other sources, or even from him being bookies favourite.

Why though? Why not get as many people as possible to get to the game on Saturday?

Coventry telegraph using there own fabricated rumour to attack the club.

Working overtime at the telegraph with a big crowd expected for the Oldham match, got to convince as many as people not to go between now and Saturday.

Yes, Simon has vanished from here but took to peddling stories on Facebook now. I'm embarrassed for them.

The problem is people confusing cov telegraph with a paper which represents the city and the best interest of the city and its football club. In honesty its a birmingham paper looking for cheap thrills and stories

Bigger crowds for City than Wasps just wouldn't be right in their eyes.

Ok, admittedly I am not a CET hater as some on here are but I heard this rumour last month and even know a couple of chaps who work with my mate who have money on it.

Think they got 12/1 or 10/1 and I believe one of them is one of the more "vocal" fans that a few on here would know.

Indeed, I don't think Simon has been on here since all that stuff about the CT holding back stories for CCC.

It still makes me laugh that he and the rag still try to claim credit for getting the club back at the Ricoh.

Well if that is true why shouldn't they.
They put out a story and they are against CCFC.
They don't put out a story and they are anti CCFC they have no chance of winning.
If it is in the observer then it must be true well, I for one believe Reed is full of shit therefore I don't read what he writes.

What I don't get is if you all believe it is bullshit then don't read it simple really.

Then I'm sure fans will be reassured by the telegraph quoting this;
