If EMC is injured I would be tempted to try JDS in front of Bidwell.

Presumably that will have to be in the first 15 minutes before his hamstrings disintegrate and his knees explode from the sheer physical onslaught of playing in the championship?

No it will have to be in the 70th minute when his visa finally gets accepted.

Don't be daft, his attacking play is almost as bad as his defending

I’m being cautious with this one so 4-1 win with the Hound getting a brace let the festive season continue x

Unfortunately missing it, being stuck in hospital. If Mason-Clark is out, then I would either have Rudoni on the left and Torp in behind, or Bassette on the left with Thomas-Asante up top. Him over Simms because of the energy he brings and he is better centrally.

Don’t think I’d have BTA anywhere near the team! Really disappointed in what he’s brought to the team so far

Really liked him at first for his energy and ability to get into goal scoring positions if not score goals. But he’s one player who seems to have gone backwards under Lampard in that wing role. And he’s not good enough to be striker ahead of Simms or Bassette. Not sure what you do with him.

He's hardly played and rarely started.
Too early to make a reliable judgement on him yet.

Yeah, could work. I don’t rate BTA but it seems obvious because FL brings him on there

I think Lati might start RB for this one and give Milan a rest, with Kitching in from the off. Perhaps Torp in for Rudoni so that all 3 CMs have started 2/3 games so they’ve all had equal rest, maybe Simms over Bassette, and potentially BTA if EMC isnt fit

Agree with you. Thought he look decent when he first arrived! My West Brom supporting mate did say though “works hard but no end product, he’ll frustrate you”. Pretty much spot on with his words!

As of now currently he’s a dud signing

He is a player out of form who has had limited game time to find it. He averaged one in four for WBA, so I would not right him off as a dud yet.

Mason Clarke, Wright, Simms all took a while to get going, as did Gyokeres

He is a striker with pace. Not great on the wing although he helps the full back out with his constant running. The reason our left backs are not great as they are always left exposed by our first choice left midfielder/wingers.

Maybe for Cardiff, a more defensive approach.

Simms a must starter for me. Torp in for Saka and change the formation. This will not be easy, as I still don't think we are all there yet by any means. Plymouth game just masked our frailties. Hope confidence we have gained will raise our game.

You can't drop Saka after his best performance of the season. If EMC came off with a tight hamie it's unlikely he will be risked. If we drop Saka as well we will lose all shape.

I doubt Masin Clark will be in tne squad so Tavares comes back into the squad in his place.

The starting 11 id bring in Simms up top and move Bassette to the left. No other changes and try to edge what i think will be a tight game.

Got to hope Mason Clark is ok and Wright is close to getting back on the grass at Ryton. Be nice to have that option available.

If EMC is unavailable then I think that’s worth a try as, without him and Haji, we don’t have much in the way of options on the left.

The alternative is to change formation but I would rather stick with wingers as that setup is showing promising signs.

I was told by a well known former director of the club that Robins pushed for BTA not the recruitment team. He was a long term admirer of him and he asked George to help persuade him to choose Cov over Hull.

Ok he hasn't found his form yet and has been a disappointment so far. But I still think he can be decent long term. One goal every four games at WBA suggests a decent player is there and Robins was good at developing strikers.

When ever I saw BTA play for WBA he caught the eye

He’s clearly not a wide player.

seems good guy, lots of work rate but not much end product

I don't disagree based on his current form, but like I said he looked a lot better when he was at WBA (and I know there fans felt he should be getting more goals).

I think he needs a run of games rather than cameos, it's almost like he is trying too hard rather than playing his natural game.

It's early days still.

I agree

Too many have written him off and it's still early into his career with us.

I am always reminded of just how awful Adebola was at first with us. He looked absolutely dreadful. Came back from his loan spell like a completely different player.

Have to give BTA til the end of the season at least I think.
