Even if we play really well, but lose and are very unlucky? Awful penalty decision, really unlucky deflection? And rightly so.
Would be lovely to go 2 goals up, so we can sing "top of the league, you're having a laugh" at themI hope there's some kind of psychological shift having lost top spot which unshackles some of the players. We've now transitioned from looking over our shoulders to having to fight what has been ours for most of the season.
Think it will be bad enough if we go 1-0 down.Atmosphere and reaction will be absolutely toxic if we lose...
If we get thumped 0-4, and fail to beat West Brom - surely Lampard has to go?0-3 defeat
Mass exodus on 67 minutes when Conway gets the 3rd
Im confident of the win.0-3 defeat

Contrary to popular belief, I don't think Boro will go unbeaten for the rest of the season. They will still lose some and we will win some, not many go 7 games unbeaten in this league.
It's all still to play for.
That's the spirit, after reading the doom & gloom on here , I have called of my booing practiceWe play at our best when we're the chasing underdogs, and maybe that's how we should approach this match.
My main hope is that Lampard and his team are working on a new system that incorporates Onyeka and plays to his strengths; Middlesborough are going to feel confident in how we're going to play and we should be looking to surprise them and nick a goal whilst they're figuring it out and before their GK inevitably pretends to have a cramp.
Fuck it, I'll pin my flag to the mast: 2-0 Cov. Early first and late second, similar to the final match of last season. Fantastic atmosphere afterwards, corner turned, this tricky patch looked back on wistfully next season.
yes - sack the manager who has got us to our highest position in 25 years. Great idea.If we get thumped 0-4, and fail to beat West Brom - surely Lampard has to go?
fully expect this will be the outcome btw
I know how ridiculous it sounds, but I only ask one question. Do you see him turning it around? I personally can’t (happy to eat my words)yes - sack the manager who has got us to our highest position in 25 years. Great idea.
If he can’t change things though there’s questions later or the end of the seasonyes - sack the manager who has got us to our highest position in 25 years. Great idea.
Not my opinion, but if we lose Monday, What if King threw the dice, sacked Lampard and brought someone in who could get us over the line. We would be 2nd still, and it would be an enticing job / challenge for many good managers out there.I know how ridiculous it sounds, but I only ask one question. Do you see him turning it around? If he doesn’t change things or cannot change the teams fortunes he’ll be gone next season imo.If he can’t change things though there’s questions later or the end of the season
Got to ask who that would be tho? Not many great managers out there and it would be a big ask to get them to come in straight away and get the group playing a new style. Not my opinion, but if we lose Monday, What if King threw the dice, sacked Lampard and brought someone in who could get us over the line. Clinging to the fact that The CBS seems to be to them what Deepdale is to us, last time they beat us at Highfield Rd/CBS was at the start of the Premier League relegation season - Although they did beat us at St Ands. in our first Championship season
Then the pessimist in me thinks they are due a win in a big game against us
Look, we had a very good run in October/November and Ipswich away seemed to be one game too far for us, got to hope that the same happens to them with this game
Not writing off our chances at home by any means, the draw is the much better result for them though - I really feel like we need to win this one
And who's out there who could guarantee getting us over the line?
If we don't go up then next year's target, realistically, is the play offs, and we'll have just sacked the man who,in all likelihood, will have all but got us there 2 years on the spin. (And we'll had to have paid him and his team off)
It's a no from me, stick with Lampard.

...including: Birmingham away, Bristol City, Millwall, Ipswich and Watford?Even if we beat them on Monday, have you seen their fixtures after they play us, lots of easy games.
AgreedIf he doesn’t change things or cannot change the teams fortunes he’ll be gone next season imo.
Deserves the chance to get us up due to his performance so far as the head coach.

To counter that, we have beaten Boro twice when it mattered in the last few yearsIm old enough to remember when we always beat Sunderland. Until we didn’t when it mattered. In reality hoodoos are nonsense and each game is different.
Birmingham have got a pretty impeccable home record to be fairThe only tough game from out of that lot is Ipswich in my opinion.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking....including: Birmingham away, Bristol City, Millwall, Ipswich and Watford?
really??? Brum have a decent home record, Millwall are never easy, Bristol, Ipswich and Watford all able to stuff you on their day.The only tough game from out of that lot is Ipswich in my opinion.
No I can't see him turning it around. Hope I'm proved wrong.I know how ridiculous it sounds, but I only ask one question. Do you see him turning it around? I personally can’t (happy to eat my words)
If he stays or goes is ultimately up to DK.And who's out there who could guarantee getting us over the line?

Hull were absolutely flying. Bristol best them at Hull last game out and Millwall are going well again. Just 6 points behind usYeah but they haven't played Middlesbrough at home let have they.
