Typical cov telegraph where the headline doesnt match the story. In the article fisher says its not on the cards, that's a world apart from promising.

It suggests to me that the public relations battle has not been going how Sisu intended.

i tend not to believe a word that Tim fisher says or any body from SISU as it normally turns out to be completly the opposite!!!!!

Personally I do believe him on this one, it would not make any business sense to go down this route. It doesn't benefit the club, SISU, the fans or ACL. I think ACL have surprised SISU by slamming this claim against them, it has forced their hand sooner than they would have liked.

Fisher talks about "playing somewhere else" as if it's something that could be arranged in 5 minutes. There's a myriad of league regulations covering these situations. I could see the FL being accommodating where a club is genuinely homeless, but a club that simply wants to avoid it's legal obligations ? Doubt it.
SISU are being pushed into a corner, the bullying tactics haven't worked, the talk from Fisher is becoming even more desparate and ridiculous, they are further away than ever from acquiring even part ownership of the stadium and the income streams they want to get their hands on. I expect an 11th hour compromise deal, perhaps pay part of the arrears and re-schedule the rest ?

Liquidation hasn't enetered my thoughts at all since all this stuff broke the other day. It will get resolved one way or another by Boxing Day - we'll get a rent reduction and/or part ownership of the ground.

Well that's what I'm thinking too. It's as if he thinks he's buying a pair of shoes or something.

What's he going to do, just find a club on ebay or at the ads in the papers?

I just wish Fisher would stop using the 'by the way' sub-sentence.

Example:

"This is about the club setting up a sustainable business model. We will fulfil our fixtures and, by the way, we have contingencies "

It makes it sound like he's making it all up.

can't put it into liquidation because CCFC owns the League share, player registrations and the option on the Higgs shares none of which are subject to the ARVO charge (or can be), but more than that if it went into liquidation they would lose any purpose in being here, the stadium .............. the tie to the stadium is CCFC not any of the other companies in the group........ and if they cant get their hands on the stadium then they cant repay their investors

It comes across more like 'my brother's bigger than your brother' at times.

Ground share would simply mean a further fall in gates.

Would guess we could lose at least 2,000-3,000 if we moved.

Can't see any of the old codger ST holders who can barely stand on two legs travelling 20 odd miles to Brum or Leicester for starters

the problem would be next season - season ticket holders would not renew on the whole - and we would in effect become another franchise fc

It's never going to happen - CCFC will pay - SISU will at the very last hour put the money in - all this bullshit is just TF trying to scare everyone into getting the lowest possible price on the rent

ACl won't go down - neither will CCFC - we won't be going anywhere

Very much inclined to agree.

Going Loopy reading all this shit about CCFC going out of business. I just hope they climb the league and entertain on the way. Don't care what happens off the patch of grass that they play on.

I'm looking forward to the new song the crowd will sing tomorrow:

"And it's ACL
A-C-L
They're by far the greatest joint venture company consisting of Coventry City Council and the Alan Edward Higgs Charity
the world has ever seen"
