I think Rushworth should play cup as well as league. Would be interested to see Perry get a run out, along with Andrews and Raphael. Maybe some time off the bench from Obikwu too. Imagine Allen and Simms will start.

Haji will get some game time too. He needs it to improve his fitness.

Wish it was the rules to declare if we are going to bother with this or not so I can decide if I will.

I’m all for playing a strong team for cups. After all, we only actually enter 3/4 competitions all season. Do we even enter the lower league jobby thingy these days ?
Surely we see it as an opportunity to draw a big team in the next round £££
Luton will fancy it, so if we are complacent then we’ll be up against it.
It’s also a chance for strikers to score and gain confidence.

Wasn't that big a crowd against Spurs last year. Doubt there's much money in it until the latter stages

I think his tendonitis is still there and playing will actually aggravate it.

I wonder about the medical team/FL as when he went away for int. duty they immediately said he had a problem. His performances in the PO's really suggest to me he already had that problem before he went, despite FL's denial. Since he's come back they've clearing been trying to get him ready for the start of the season, but he isn't and they're taking chances with him because they don't trust the other strikers.

Yeah I think he wasn't fully fit as well he seemed slow which he really isn't. Having something like that must effect him mentally as well when playing.

I have faith in him though by far the best finisher at the club some of the stick he's been getting is ridiculous.

Not a bad idea to be fair, but I suppose the £20 a ticket is the get out of jail card if we play a team comprised of 5 OAPs and 6 foetuses

I'd honestly start Andrews in a competitive (ish) match now to see if he can compete. We know what Allen brings (not much) so we need to see Andrews

Would say that’s pretty close but think Allen will start in place of either Torp or Rudoni.

KKH and bidwell too

Not sure much we can change at CB. Id like to see wright and Raphael play. For me it's:

Wilson

Bidwell
Kithcing
Thomas
KKH

Sheaf (if not fit then grimes
Torp
Rudoni

Raphael
Simms
Wright

Strong team still with a bit of rotation too

7734 tickets remaning, with the North and South closed. Luton given 1506, no word that they've sold out yet. Going to be really really low!

The conspiracy theory that we have to pay a million if Simms plays another match is about to be tested.
If Bassette doesn't play, there really will be questions about his time left with us.
Our injuries are piling up and Haji, EMC and Rudoni were all not 100% fit on Saturday, so will be surprised if they play, unless Haji needs more minutes.
Our second team is looking a bit thin.

Hoping we'll see Basette, Andrews, Perry and maybe Obikwu feature.

If Sheaf is out for a while we might need Andrews because all we have at the minute is Allen. Bassette and Obikwu would be nice options if they're looking ready because lets face it Simms and BTA aren't looking good in this system.

I do think that the new digital tickets mean people can/ will download their tickets as late as they dare if there are plenty still on sale. This allows for a lot of last minute decisions.

Think we should be playing a relatively strong team for this as we'll still need some sharpness at the start of the season, but bring in KKH, Brau and Simms in for match fitness.
Be good to get Andrews, Raphael and Perry a run out if we're comfortable later on.

Interesting to see if Bassette features at all

I can't see Bassette featuring, the other 3 lads deserve a chance.
