Why can’t they just be wankers to the other 11 on the pitch who don’t play in sky blue. Simple

Kessler-Hayden, Brau, Raphael, Torp did well. Kitching was the difference for me. Simms. Sorry, just dreadful. Doesn’t do anything like a natural footballer. Genuinely felt for him.

Simms looks disappointed. Do feel for him, seems a lovely bloke, but it's not quite working for him.

Not sure if I detected some dissatisafection after the game there between him and Frank who came over to show appreciation.

In the air at the same time as a long ball?

Just want to be clear, I think there’s a massive difference for giving a player pelters on here and doing it in person.

Other than Dom Hyam (can’t remember what his username was, maybe @Grendel?), no other Cov past or present footballers post on here.

Enjoyed that tonight

Young lads played well and showed glimpses , especially Raphael who was my mom
Kitching is our best centre back and leader at the back , interesting that he can play right side just as confidently so could be a partner if we sign Hughes .
Also thought Jamie Allen was very good tonight and rarely gave the ball away

I thought the opposite, looked like Frank was trying to gee him up

Simms is a far better number 9 than Asante in the current set up. We need a bigger lad up there.

Yeah same. No need whatsoever in the ground.

If Simms was a 39 year old Jamie Vardy we probably win that at least 3-0 tbf.

hopefully that’s lifted everyone a bit, it was like the Samaritans on here today, squads not as bad as we thought, def centre half needed and not really bothered if we get a forward or not, wright and simms can battle it out, plenty of cover everywhere else Raphael can play left or right, BTA looked better off the left, bring on derby

Some players, yeah fair enough. Some people thrive off that.

Ellis Simms wants to go home and watch Akira on a 4k 97” TV in a bubble bath.

Screaming at him for not using his left foot just makes him want to be there instead of playing football even more.

Think the thing with Simms is he’ll need a consistent run of games and goals! 2 things that he can’t put together right now. Until that happens I feel he’s not gonna change. I want him to do well and finally start making the CF position his but it’s just not happening for him right now! He’s got to be as frustrated as we all are

Think as long as we can keep playing League One reserves we’re in for a good season.

It was good to finally see Andrews and Raphael who both look like they have a lot of potential and should stay as part of the squad .
Was good to see Simms score , although he should have had more . And minutes for Brau.amd KKH , who both played well

His scoring record still isn’t that bad the appearances look terrible because he keeps getting but parts. Not sure how much more time you can give him though.

I think after he scored Simms had an air of confidence that seemed different, but it lasted about 7 minutes then he missed a chance and was back to normal again.

I just want to sit opposite him, maybe one metre away, and tell him I love him and he’s great and we all think he’s great, over and over again until he gets sick of me and walks off to score 100 goals in a season.

He shouldn't. He missed a couple. He hasn't played for ages. His effort was good and he scored the goal.

Exactly my thought! How long do you keep thinking he’ll come good he’ll come good until you actually do give up and lose faith he’ll ever do it. Maybe the rest of this season if he stays then if no further forward with him then time to cut our losses

Make your mind up. You were lamenting that we were likely to make many changes to our own line up.

Yeah I think he did okay, particularly second half. I just feel like a confident version of himself buries three of those chances.

No I think squeaking past L1 reserves at home is a great achievement. Completely put my mind at ease.
