This one's a free hit for us. If we go for it and beat the carrot munchers we put 16 points on them, they will not get 6 wins more than us in the second half of the season. I just hope we pin out ears back and don't think about losing or drawing, this could be the game that breaks their auto hopes and cements us as going up. It would be a monumental fall off for us not too. Backhouse is the ref and he has always seemed half decent for us.

Are Ipswich players allowed to pick up the ball wherever they want for this game or?

Lamps uses round pegs in round holes, which is one of the reasons he has been successful. Playing KKH on the left is a risk, as he has rarely played there.
Two full games in three days may be a step too far for Bidders. Depends on flu casualties.
Philogene and Clarke play predominantly left wing, although Clarke can switch to the right. I expect Clarke to come on as a sub. I think we will adjust accordingly.

It has become a curiously common view that we should play KKH on the left.

It's another refreshing thing about Lampard that he does seem to stick round pegs in round holes. I doubt we'll see Kitch at LWB for example...

KKH may well play LB at some point, but I reckon that's about plan E.

It's a very weird obsession some have about it , same as the weirdness to play 5 atb when we scored for fun (usually)

Think I’d drop Rudoni for a CB in this one because he hasnt looked himself yet I wonder if he’s not fully recovered, I think Brau needs to start over Bidwell for this game and that requires another CB in there so fingers crossed Bobby is back if not Im happy with Lati starting. But we need to switch it on and if we do I can see us smashing them as they’re very poor on the road and we should have smashed them when we were on the receiving end

Dropping Rudoni for Lati in a home game while top of the league

I honestly think this is a game for Rudoni to shine.

And if he does, I fully expect him to score.

I would like to see pretty much the same team as started against Swansea but (a) with Thomas in for Wolfenden if he's fit and (b) possibly Haji in for Simms.

I accept that, as others have said, Saka isn't on top form at the moment, so what about KKH in his place? He can play RWB, so why not RW? It might help to counter the threat of Philogene.

Difficult to drop Wol after a good performance the other day. Thomas won't be super fit so will be on the bench.Wold will want to shine against his old club. Wright back in, Rudoni keeps his place. Bidders to contimue at left wing back. Torp should be over his sickness and is the type to crack one in. Wright is way overdue a goal. So an easier win than you might think. Ipswich not that good from what I've seen.
I'm sensing 2 or 4 nil if we start well.

A quandary over Brau …. He’s been here long enough now , to understand his defensive duties , but ultimately he gives us far better options of the overlap & his crossing ability is class .
I think we need his extra pace against these , but as previous stated , KKH can play lefty ….. thankfully we have options
2 - 0 & city go marching on

Can only find their line ups going back to December last year but he played mainly on the left through December and January before moving to the right .
Played on the right hand side of a 3 as well for a couple of games.

Same starting XI as Swansea apart from Wright for Simms.
Stronger bench with Bobby T back.

Reading the absolute pelters they are throwing at us on their forums, I hope we cane them. Overrated, average, reliant on set plays, slow, poor division,l are just a few,oh and "Coventry in the prem is laughable"
One season in the prem has turned them into a club of Billy big bollocks.

They’ve turned into a very dislikable club to be honest, having previously been pretty neutral. Got one extra point than they should have too.

Playing at home, I would like to see Simms and Wright start as a front 2 if we're going to drop Rudi. Have emc and sakamoto on the wings in a 442, Just think at home play attacking and let them deal.with us.

This is definately an option. We dont really try it enough. Maybe because of injuries and workload.

Remember both Wright and Simms coming on against these in the Fa cup game at home last season. And it changed the game completely if not score wise.

I agree, never had any issue with them as a team or its supporters, but for some reason they seem to resent us. Very strange change of mentality.

I feel like we're a far sexier club atm than Ipswich. The Prem would gain far more from us being there than those tractor molesting goons.

I've mentioned this before but the whole division seems totally rattled by us being a club on the up. Literally every game the opposition fans are posting absolute horse shit. That's why I have no time for any of them tbh, I wish SISU like owners on every single one of them.

Not just match threads, they are dismissive of us and the league in general, disbelief that they aren't promoted already.
