Lovely jubilee Doug King will be pleased, to sell out crowds next to home games.

I have 2 spare tickets in Block 19 row MM if anyone is interested. Can have them for a fiver each.

I'll be at Leeds so can hand over there if that induces more confidence

Younger daughter has a colonoscopy Sunday morning; and those who have had one of those knows what that means for the 24 hours preceding.

It's my daughter's birthday party at 3pm on Saturday so I will miss this completely. The same thing happened for the Wolves game in the cup, missed most of it due to my son's birthday party on the same day. Let's hope the end result is the same.

Find it hard to motivate myself for this one - I'd rather not have a cup run and focus on the league. Last year was a once in a lifetime.

With that in mind I'm expecting a win.

Definitely winnable, especialy if they rest Delap and Hutchison, but would prefer 3 points against Leeds.

I think they will play a strong team. They desperately need a win to inject some confidence, plus they FU playing a weakened side in the FA Cup last year.

They’ve got no midweek games before or after either.

I wonder who will play in goal after they signed Palmer from WBA on Monday. I assumed he'd be cup tied, but checked and he didn't play.

I wouldn’t want it, but if you were going to play a weakened team and prioritise Leeds and QPR, what would you go with? Trying to work out a side that’s not first round of the EFL cup under Robins awful but rests as many as possible.

Dovin (keepers don’t need rest IMO)
Lats Binks Kitching Dasilva
Eccles Allen Torp (?)
Saka Bassette EMC

Maybe?

Then for QPR

Dovin
Lats Thomas Kitching
MvE Torp Grimes Rudoni Bidwell
Simms BTA

Take the points for Leeds and QPR, rather than a cup win against Ipswich.

We could also have the injured trio back in some capacity for all or some of those games

You make it sound like we have a choice. No point making no effort in the cup game if our 'first team' end up losing the other games.

On tonight's showing, I would bring Binks in for Thomas and find a place for Sakamoto. If they play two up front, then Bassette has to get a run out ahead of BTA. I hope, like the last cup match, he keeps with Dovin.
I don't think Eccles has done enough from the bench to earn a start. Maybe give Van Erwijk a rest and play Burroughs?

Bring Burroughs, Binks, JDS, Eccles, Tatsu, Norm, Raphael all in.

We’ve got 2 Champ games next week which is more important.

If I was Dovin and expected to play behind that defence I would want a rest and let Collins or Wilson suffer.

I think I’d play mostly the same side TBH. Give EMC a few more days to recover, Grimes is in for Allen at QPR anyway and we subbed off a lot of our midfield plus BTA and Simms barely runs anyway so should be fine.

Give them a chance to try again against a better team and learn from their mistakes last night.

Still trying to explain what Simms was thinking with his assist. Shades of Biamou against Forest
