Capable of playing? Of course

Capable of playing to a better level than opposing elite level athletes who haven't had to play 210 mins in 3 days? No

You're trying to argue against facts of human biology here. Was it not obvious to you on Wednesday that Sheaf was done after 70 mins, Eccles similar or that Milan wasn't anywhere near his usual level? Or do you not think they were trying hard enough? Imagine if half the team had been like that, Hull might have put 2 or 3 more past us in that last 20 mins.

We're all frustrated how this week has gone but I think your blame is misplaced.
And I'm frustrated with how the last few weeks have gone , not just this week

Have they personally been and had a chat with you ya whopper 😂😂 anyway , we disagree .. carrying on would be like pulling teeth ..
You both have a point tbh. I would have liked to see us play best 11 4 games ina. Row and see if get us over like but also totally understand they tired or carrying kncoks and thus robins perhaps trying to use entire squad to get to the finish line.

Either way in sure he did what thought best and next year squad depth wil be addressed.

So are you saying sheaf and Thomas are fitter than wright simms and Milan ?

Why not play Milan, wright and simms first half to try and get the team ahead and then make defensive subs ???

Come on Pete , we just gave the season up full stop
Because then you're playing players who are still feeling tired against opposition who are fresh at the start of the game. And then you're committed to knowing you'll have a poorer team on the pitch at the end and goals are more likely to be scored in the last 20 mins than first 20.

If we've not taken the lead or are losing at that point due to the tiredness, it's hardly likely the weaker players are going to rectify it. And if we have managed to get ahead then the opposition will be going hell for leather to attack us when we've got weaker players out.

Allen and Kelly were not "fine"
They were extremely average and as soon as they were in together, creativity from the middle of the pitch went to zero.
If we think Kelly and Allen are "fine" and we find themselves in the side at any point this or next season, we won't be looking to win games.
Agree with Palmer statement.
Kelly and Allen not what we need now if we want to progress.

According to the various statistics websites, Kelly was one of our better players Wednesday, and better than Sheaf on every single one. Given that the latter was described as 'outstanding', surely that makes Kelly's performance World Class?

I thought Kelly was OK, good in flashes, but some people have an axe to grind against him and will just score him by name and the reputation they have given him rather than performance. Same as Sheaf but the other way round on the rating scale.

Except we clearly don’t beyond the starting 11 and you yourself have said you would bin off the Barnsley boys who form most of the defence.

Last year we had “the big three” and eight makeweights basically. This year we have quality throughout the XI. With everyone fit our bench is: Wilson, Latubeaudiere, Bidwell, Kelly, Eccles, Allen, Palmer, Godden, Tavares

Most of them were first team last year.

Do the same again and out bench next year will likely be:

Collins, Kitching, Bidwell, Eccles, Torp, Palmer, RW, EMC, ST

That’s wasn’t what you asked. We had a small squad full of dead wood. Now we have a small squad full of quality.

Godden Kelly Tavares are quality?

Yes, because it will have been the last game of the season.

Robins said on Wednesday before the game that he found it very difficult for him to put a team out against Hull

Do you think that wasn't true?

Wright and Simms didn’t actually look like they were needing an oxygen tank for the second half.

We lost the game due to the selections for the first half

He can’t really moan about his squad too much when he’s not played godden and Kelly but played others while tired as he offered them extended deals to be part of a promotion chasing squad.

Kelly looks like he is definitely on the wane and has lost a yard of pace (not that he had much anyway) and he has also been carrying an injury for a while and Godden's goalscoring record of late has been very, very poor and so too his output (thIs is coming from someone who does rate him).

You can see why neither has played. I think Robins has got EVERY right to moan about his squad.

He gave these players extended contracts didn’t he?
