Did well to see that through. Surely they have to gain some confidence soon.
EMC man of the match.

Much needed and much deserved imo. EMC and Rudoni class, Torp good too despite the woeful pen.

Thought we seemed in control once it was 2-1.

Cracking performance by EMC. Gave their RB fits all game.

That should've been a comfortable 3-0 win. But three points is three points and I can't be arsed complaining.

Not the best in terms of quality but an important result and sets us up nicely going into the next couple of games.

Deserved win. Lots of work to do though, still look so vulnerable 'on the transition'.

EMC improving every week, his best game for the club today. Can't argue with his output at all.

I think it goes to show we don’t need to play both Sheaf and Eccles to have a decent midfield

Could be a catalyst result for the season .
Keep the same XI , maybe change left back and cf ,but both wide players create enough .
Huge confidence boost just before playing Pompey .
Season hopefully starts here

Positives to take from that:

Portsmouth, Plymouth, Millwall, and Cardiff up next, then the window opens. Hopefully we will be mid table by then.

So much better when we went long or direct with passes. When low on confidence, forget the nice football.

Mason-Clarke, what a man

I thought Torp was good but he gave the ball away sloppily for their first goal as well as the penalty miss.

Far more positives than that. We absolutely battered them could have easily been 4 or 5

Get in there!

Not a terrible performance all, just our age old bad habit of not taking out chances and paying for it that was disappointing, other than that we were clearly the better team. As much criticism as he's had, Ephron looks to be growing each game now he's back in his best position, and the fact that is there's surely more to come yet.

Hull I think are in big trouble, they look very poor and it would have been a travesty to lose to them.

There are definitely some improved performances. Mason-Clark was excellent and Rudoni very good too. Thomas was solid. Sakamoto good.
And though I am his biggest critic, Collins pulled two very good saves.

Good win and we'll obviously take that.

Still things that are a problem though.

Such small margins, but MVE attempts so many crosses that don't get past the first man and Dasilva is still a worry.
He actually was playing very well until the goal. Didn't do enough to try and stop the cross coming in and after their goal, his performance went down the pan quite a bit and he was quite rightly pulled

Thought Saka played well and EMC showed what he is capable of

But we are still soft at the back

I don't think it will take too much to make us a decent side

Need to get rid of the soft underbelly though

Just rewatching the highlights and his cross for the 2nd is what we've been missing/always having done to us.

Deserved. Should have battered Hull out of sight with the chances we had.

Dunno what Frank is giving EMC for the pre-match meal, but I want some.

I was worried that our heads would drop after we went one down but - fair play to the lads - they carried on with determination.
